When Life Hurts
Pain and suffering. They’re both an inescapable part of the human condition. But why? If God loves us—and is all-powerful—why does He allow so much suffering? How are we to respond to our own tragedies? And how can we best comfort others? The book of Job is an excellent framework for this discussion. This week on The Land and the Book, you’ll meet Job as you’ve never met him before, for encouragement in your own trials.

Ezekiel—Up Close and Personal
He was born on the banks of a river in modern-day Iraq—a long way from home—during the Babylonian captivity. But what are we to make of the 48 chapters of his book today? And what do we actually know about Ezekiel, the man? This week on The Land and the Book, you’ll meet Ezekiel up close and personal. Plus, Charlie Dyer updates us on all the headlines from the Middle East. Join us for The Land and the Book.

Update—The Abraham Accords
When the idea was first conceived, not many thought it had even the slightest chance of becoming a reality. A joint normalization between Israel and The United Arab Emirates? Normalization between Israel and Bahrain? But that didn’t dampen the enthusiasm—or stop the conversation about The Abraham Accords. What do they really mean—-for Israel and for the Arab world? That's our focus this week on The Land and the Book.

By Way of Deception
Imagine a scenario like this: The Mossad has uncovered Iran's plans to smuggle untraceable weapons of mass destruction into Israel. The clock is ticking, and counter terrorism agents can't act quickly enough. Though the story is fictional—it’s inspired by real events. Best-selling author Amir Tsarfati joins us this week on The Land and the Book.

Discovering Luke
It’s the only gospel written by a Gentile. It’s the third—and longest—of the four accounts—even longer than the book of Acts. We're talking, of course, about the Gospel of Luke. But just who was Luke? And what is the legacy of his gospel account for us today? We've got plenty to talk about this week as together, we’re “Discovering Luke” on The Land and the Book. Join us!

Customer Reviews
The Land and the Book
I enjoy this weekly program very much for the current events in Israel and the entire program especially when Charlie Dyer does the devotional describing a place in Israel central to the days that Jesus walked on earth.
While my heart’s desire is to visit Israel I may or may not have that opportunity, but God has provided this which gives me great joy. Thank you! I tell my friends about tuning too. 😁
Israel
I listen to TLATB mostly because of the weekly updates on Israel. I haven’t heard of any other Christians who have that focus.
Thanks
Great podcast
As I travel this is one of my highlights especially on some of the long haul flights I have. Very insightful and great perspective and knowledge.
