Ep. 75 Build It As You Go with Beth Auguste

Hearing other people’s stories is such a great way to learn, connect, feel inspired and motivated. It’s fun to see how people started in their health career, made the decision to create an online program, launched their program and then share what they’re doing now.
Today, we have another incredible guest and client, Beth Auguste, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, certified women’s fitness specialist and board-certified specialist in obesity and weight management. She shares her journey, what worked for her and how she implemented strategies to take action on her goal of creating and launching an online program.
    Here’s what we talked about:
Beth’s story of creating her private practice and leaving her job (and feeling the freedom to manage her time to work on her online program!) What to look for when considering investing in a coach (I always say that you need to do your research and get referrals!) The importance of having a community to support each other as you grow your business (especially others who are focused and determined too!) The steps she took to fast track creating her program (and launched it in one month!) How she knew her program didn’t have to be perfect and focused on being able to continuously update it (as she got feedback from members on how to improve it!) How she showed up every day for her audience (and surpassed her enrollment launch goal!) Beth’s story is an amazing example of taking action on her dream by creating, launching and selling an online program where she continues to support her clients, while working towards the life-work balance that she desires!
About Beth Beth is a South Philadelphia-based registered dietitian nutritionist, certified women’s fitness specialist and board-certified specialist in obesity and weight management. She's also a mom who juggles maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle while chasing an adorable but exhausting toddler and running a business. Beth understands that nutrition and healthcare advice can’t happen in a vacuum. Life will always get in the way of the perfect routine. Her recommendations meet you where you are and integrate creative, effective solutions that fit into even the busiest schedule. She is more than your nutritionist-- she's an advocate and supporter for your wellness.

Ep. 74 Know What You Sell Before You Build an Audience

Ep. 74 Know What You Sell Before You Build an Audience

One of the main points that I see people struggle with before they decide to create an online program is thinking that they need to have a big audience before they can sell their program.
They believe that they have no one to sell to and feel unsure on how to approach audience growth.
Today I’m talking about how you need to get clear on what you’re selling and how you’re helping people - before you build an audience. Once you have this clarity, you’ll know who your audience is, the content you’re going to create for them and can build a strategic marketing plan based on an actual product, not just an idea.
    Here’s what I covered:
My experience with building a big email list (and how I discovered they weren’t the right audience to purchase my program!) How we strategically pivoted our content plan (to help our audience and also offer our program!) What you need to be clear on before building an audience (so you don’t need to guess anymore about what content you’re sharing!) How launching and running your online program helps you get even clearer on your ideal audience (as you work with real people in a group setting, you’ll continue learning about how to better serve them!) Knowing what you sell before you build your audience will give you the chance to reach the people who are looking for your expertise and support. Building an online program with the right audience allows you to make a big impact, help lots of people with your knowledge and create a better work-life balance for yourself!

Ep. 73 Surpassing Goals with Your First Program Launch with Marilou Morin

Ep. 73 Surpassing Goals with Your First Program Launch with Marilou Morin

If you’ve been thinking of creating an online program and wondered, “Do I need a huge audience or email list?”, the answer is no.
Even though you’ll focus on growing your audience as you grow your business long-term, to have a successful first launch, you can use other strategies to get in front of the right audience.
That’s what my clients do to successfully launch their first program.
Today we have my wonderful guest and client, Marilou Morin, Registered Dietitian, soon to be Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, and founder of Manger en Harmonie sharing her incredible story of getting started in her business and online program. She talks about how she launched her first program and surpassed her goal!
    Here’s what we talked about:
Marilou’s first launch of her online program (she had to close the doors early!)  How she launched with a small list (and what she did to spread the word about her program!) The rollercoaster of emotions that Marilou had as she created and launched her program (and how she’s now adjusted her offering and is focusing on launching it again!) Whether you should run your first program for free (the answer is - I’m 100% against it, since the commitment level will be lower and you won’t get the appropriate feedback!) What she learned from her first program members (they were grateful to provide feedback and see it incorporated into the program!) Even though self-doubt creeps in when doing something new, like creating an online program, I’m sure many of you will connect with and feel motivated by Marilou’s story. She continued to work through the steps, created her online program and launched it successfully - and you can too!
About Marilou Marilou Morin is an anti-diet registered dietitian, soon to be Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, and founder of Manger en Harmonie (a Francophone online business based in Quebec, Canada). With her online program based on Intuitive Eating, she guides people through the healing process of their relationship with food, mind, and body by helping them to connect and respect their body without guilt.

    Ep. 72 Social Media Strategy

    Ep. 72 Social Media Strategy

Social media is a key part of your marketing strategy. You can use it to educate, inspire, entertain - and to talk about your programs.
Having a social media strategy is an opportunity to connect with people, create conversations with them, answer their questions, and grow your audience so that more people are coming into your world and getting to know you and your business.
Today, I am going to share with you just some simple thoughts, insights and strategies for you to consider as you're thinking about social media.
    Here’s what I covered:
The point of social media (even though it’s about reaching and growing your audience, it’s not about the vanity numbers!) What to include in your strategic marketing plan (and how to keep it conversational allowing you to focus on building relationships!) The importance of picking just one social media platform where your audience is (and getting a full understanding of how to use it!) How to position yourself as a credible authority (and connect with your audience so they are getting to know you!) Ways to promote your program (and giving your audience a call to action to allow them to take the next steps!) By creating a social media strategy, you’ll have a plan on how you are showing up every single day in your business, the steps you are taking to grow your audience and how you are getting in front of more potential clients who need your services and programs!
