When we don’t question even our own thoughts, we are susceptible to thinking what someone else wants us to think. On today’s show Tony and Clem discuss the origins of The LibSlayers, race relations, political identities and how lots of people today simply accept every thought that pops into their heads as factual, true and relevant.

 

On this 10th episode of The LibSlayers, Mike on the Mic comes back to lay out the factions and interests involved in the Syrian civil war and why the US has no business there. Tony and Clem discuss with Mike some of the reasons they see, President Trump has , to get America out of this foreign entanglement and the difficulties inherent to that extraction of American Military personnel and equipment.

 

On this follow up with Pat, Tony and Clem continue to explore the cultural origins of the Bill of Rights while Pat digs deeper into the idea of Natural Rights, Positive and Negative rights and the role of a Just Government being the protector of rights. When a government established to this end fails to protect the rights of the people, what good can be done with such a body?

On this episode of the LibSlayers Tony and Clem are joined by special guest Pat, for part one of a two-part examination of the cultural dimension of the Bill of Rights. Andrew Breitbart famously said, "Politics is downstream from culture", which is at least partially true. Clearly our politics are also very much a part of our culture, but there remains a cultural origin of our form of Self Government. How well "We the People" remain connected to those cultural beginnings will have a political impact on our understanding of things like natural rights and the political will that serves to preserve or abandon them.

 

Mike on the Mic returns to update Tony and Clem with some developments concerning the illegal spying by the DOJ and FBI, as well as some interesting Q&A around Libya, Syria and how the IG Report is likely to play out on this extended episode of The LibSlayers.

 

In this Episode of the LibSlayers, Tony and Clem discuss the thread that ties The Bill of Rights together. The idea the Founders understood, future generations of Americans would have to confront every form of tyranny is evidenced by the adoption of the Bill of Rights. They knew simply restraining the Government would not be enough, but future generations would need to be able to act if tyranny is to remain dead. This is still true today.
