Smart and Funny!

I learn something new from every episode. Every. Single. One.
Morse code operators can distinguish the style of each other’s dashes and dots? (Yep). A hotbed for sexy spy activity was...Ottawa? (Who knew?). The guests are always interesting and the conversation flows—I particularly dig the kinds of questions the host asks. He lets the guest shine.

Clueless about actual totalitarianism.

What could’ve been a great podcast was ruined by the narrator’s obsession with drawing a false equivalence between a democratically elected president and actual authoritarian/communist/repressive governments. Your historical ignorance is embarrassing.

Entertaining & erudite

I never thought I’d become so mesmerized by espionage, intelligence gathering, the Cold War, diplomacy, and everything in between before picking up this podcast. There has been a wide variety of interview subjects on a host of topics and all of them have ended too soon for me. I get so enthralled with the easy banter between the guest and host’s in-depth discussions that before I realize it, 45 minutes has passed. It’s obvious that Mr. Valley has done his research and knows his material. This podcast is already great and can only get better. Looking forward to many more from this one.
