RIP, Rudy
Such a weird, twisty, turny, story with a surprisingly beautiful conclusion. Thank you, Stacy, for your investigative perseverance. Maybe look into treatment for that OCD? ;-)
Funnily, I learned of this podcast from Ghost Adventures; a show I enjoy, but don’t believe 99% of. So, I really appreciated the early episodes of this podcast that give us a lesson into the perpetuation of urban legends.
This has been a fun ride. Great job!
We Need More Documentaries Like This One
We all know of places that have developed reputations and myths due to tragedy. There is the Amityville Horror house, the Winchester Mystery Mansion, and many more. Another entry on that list would be the Los Feliz Murder Mansion.
The legend of the house is undeniably entertaining. That it’s grounded in reality with real people and many still alive who can remember the infamous murder/suicide makes it all the more compelling. But the creator had questions about the accuracy of alleged facts. She wanted to find out what the origins of some of the urban myths were. She set out to investigate and find actual documentation and interviewed people connected to the crime and the mansion.
By the end of the podcast, the old hoary saying of “Truth is stranger than fiction.” or “You can’t make this stuff up.” were barely adequate to sum up the conclusion.
Can’t continue
I would love to finish this podcast but I’m stopping part way through episode 2. There is a “typing on the keyboard” sound through most of it and it’s downright annoying and unnecessary.
