Episode #458 Sean Coakley on measuring metabolic biometrics

Episode #458 Sean Coakley on measuring metabolic biometrics

Watch our interview on my YouTube Channel:
    https://youtu.be/MKzQv5VYU9U
    Sean Coakley:
Sean is a highly sought after Performance Breathing Coach with over 25 years teaching and coaching experience in yoga, breath-work, nutritional sciences, quantum biology and mind-state psychology.
An avid athlete, in his younger days Sean was a Division 1 scholarship soccer player and a competitive cyclist until he experienced several life changing physical traumas, including cervical and lumbar fractures.  Through this and many other life changing circumstances Sean became highly focused on the breath’s ability to remediate pain, optimize personal performance and access the “flow state” on demand.
With formal studies and degrees, in Public Health, Epidemiology and Nutritional Sciences, Sean has a strong science-based background that brings unique insight to the art and science of Breath Performance Training that benefits everyone he encounters.  Whether chasing gold medals, preparing for the Navy Seal training, struggling or recovering from pain or illness, or sometimes more importantly simply coping with the stress of every day life, Sean’s clients benefit greatly from his insights and guidance.
Sean is a life-long educator and entrepreneur, owner and creator of BreathFlō, a globally focused performance breath training company as well as a founding equity member of Calibre Biometrics based in Boston.
In addition to the above Sean worked directly with Stig Severinsen and became the first global master instructor for his Breatheology platform and also worked with Airofit as their first global master coach in addition to helping them develop the training protocols for their platform.
    Sean’s WHY?
I have a long background in public health, nutritional sciences and epidemiology. I have been a master level yoga instructor for over 20 years. Recently (last 15 years) I have been a performance breath coach and worked as a master instructor for breatheology.com, airofit.com, my own Company BreathFlō and starting this past year am a founding member of www.calibrebio.com (a game changing wearable that can track respiratory and metabolic biometrics) including fuel burn, ketosis progression and anaerobic progression. I believe you would be highly interested in Calibre as it is a new kind of "wearable" and works with the most accurate methods of tracking based on breath calorimetry.
    Conversation Topics
Why and how was Calibre founded? Why do you say it is game changing? What type of data is contained in the breath and why are they relevant? What are your thoughts on the "state" of wearables and remote data monitoring? How can we test for metabolic flexibility? How does this benefit the endurance athlete? Could we use this to help us determine what and when to eat to burn fat as our main fuel source?  Does it compare to breath tests as Levels for resting metabolism RQ? Fasting benefits? Social Media:

Episode #457 Keto you CAN DO mentality with Adam Bremen

Episode #457 Keto you CAN DO mentality with Adam Bremen

    Who is Adam Bremen?
"Hey, I’m Adam, the founder of  CAN DO and the maker of Keto Krisp.  I lost 65lbs adopting the Keto Diet! I was born with Cerebral Palsy and have used an electric wheelchair for mobility my entire life. From an early age, my parents instilled in me that life is about what I CAN DO, not what I can’t do. At 42, I found myself overweight and uncomfortable, so I decided it was time to make a change."

"With the help of a close friend, I transitioned to a keto-based diet and began a daily adapted exercise routine. During my weight loss journey, I couldn’t find an on-the-go snack with premium clean ingredients that actually tasted good. As a lifelong foodie, I strongly believe you shouldn’t have to sacrifice taste when making healthy decisions. So I created Keto Krisp, a snack bar that combines unrivaled taste with premium nutritional ingredients to meet the specific needs of NOT ONLY the keto lifestyle, but also anyone looking for a delicious well-balanced, protein fortified bar."

    Today's conversation includes:
What is your why?  What is your purpose? Why the Keto diet? Diet vs Lifestyle? Who inspires me?

Episode #456 Danny Walsh on getting to the Peak State

Episode #456 Danny Walsh on getting to the Peak State

Today we are talking about one of our favorite morning drinks…COFFEE!
    Danny Walsh:
Danny Walsh is an outdoors person, recreational athlete, and entrepreneur out of Boulder, CO. When he was diagnosed with a stress-related auto-immune disease in his last year of college, he turned down the offer for a desk job and instead took to building trails so that he could move his body all days. During this time, he learned to forage and brew chaga tea. He couldn’t stop thinking about how good chaga, a medicinal mushroom, made him feel - soothed, relaxed, calm. Focusing on continually managing his stress, he started incorporating these Adaptagenic mushrooms into his morning routine for daily stress and immune support, and eventually putting them in his coffee. When he looked to see what was out there for mushroom coffee, there wasn’t a single product that tasted like coffee without compromise. Soon after, Peak State was born to help people upgrade their morning routine with high quality coffee with the added health benefits for immune support, stress support, and cognitive health. Today, Peak State's is the world's first whole bean functional coffee, infused using their patent pending process for daily wellness and to keep you functioning at your Peak State. When Danny is not working on Peak State, he’s climbing, skiing, spending time with his partner, or trail running with his dog Tuckerman.
    What is Peak State Coffee?
If you're like me, coffee is the first part of your morning, which makes it the perfect vehicle for other nutrients too. Peak State has introduced coffee with adaptogens to boost performance, immunity, brain health, and sustained energy throughout the day. Keto Friendly of course, and the coffee is LOW ACID, which is huge if you have a sensitive stomach to acidity in coffee. They test it with a pH meter.
