Welcome to The Makoce Podcast. The Makoce Podcast will be our community voice for sharing systemic solutions and strategies towards reconnecting and regenerating our local food systems across the Oceti Sakowin and Turtle Island. In the Lakota language “Makoce” means Homelands. Makoce Agriculture Development, Inc is a grass-roots, community-led 501c3 non-profit working to develop a local, regenerative food system on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. The Mission of Makoce Ag is to "Develop Indigenous Agriculture & Food Systems designed to regenerate equitable healthy communities, economies and our environment”. Enjoy the talk of the Homelands.
