As men of the kingdom we need to learn to be disagreeable. To be willing to make people angry. To be willing to chart our own path, though not really our own, but God's path for us. This is what Jesus modeled. In fact, this is what Jesus honors many times in others. We need to be willing to lay down our need for approval and keeping the peace in order to truly find breakthrough in our marriages, our health, our finances, and our callings.

Just because you say yes to following God's mission for you does not mean that your circumstances will confirm that you've made the right call, or even that you've accurately heard God. Sometimes they will try to tell you that you're off. You're missing it. You're missing God. Don't listen.
