Keenan wants to be a shark-toothed mob boss. Making the transition from full time competition athlete to the role of coach/mentor.  The jiu-jitsu flow state. The pursuit of mastery never ends. Listener Question: How much can a pro BJJ athlete make with competitions and sponsorships?

    Matburn Episode 42: Apocalypse Now

Topics include: The ocean is on fire. How we can stop all the genocide. How much control an affiliation should have over the way academies conduct their business. Keenan argues that the future of the average practitioner jiu-jitsu community will evolve into something akin to the present-day yoga community, and the future of professional jiu-jitsu competition looks like present-day WWE. Lastly, the cross-utility of studying jiu-jitsu. Big shout out to JiuGo the Card game and Tap Cancer Out.

Best JJ podcast out there

As a professional and white belt with endless knowledge in the subject of Jiu jitsu, this podcast leaves me always wanting more content from these guys... Lol In all seriousness their dynamic is great and the banter and insight into the world of the sport/martial art from the aspect of a competitor/teacher is unparalleled. Hope they continue to provide us with such great content.

Thanks guys.

Love listening to Hinger. His voice is soothing to me for some reason. Love when they talk trash and interrupt each other. Keep it up guys. Good work.
