Wow!
I just listened to the episode with Mel and her son. From a young adult with anxiety, every word he spoke resonated with me. I had to stop and write down the wisdom he spoke. Thank you both for sharing these vulnerable thoughts. I don’t think I’ve ever heard anxiety or the lessons on purpose spoken like this. It truly opened my eyes and has made me think differently.
Would you let the Doctor speak
I would love to get something out of the episode with an MD breaking down how it affects our mental health and she literally will not let him finish his sentence. It’s so rude and frustrating as a listener
Frustrating episode
I love Mel and find so much of her work incredibly helpful and relatable. I found the interview with Dr. Hyman troubling. There is no medical consensus on the causes of ADHD. To say that changing your diet and will "cure" your ADHD is an insult to those of us who have struggled since childhood. There is actually growing evidence that genetics contribute to the disorder. Dr. Human's kind of fear mongering around food is so privileged and problematic...
