Episode 59 - Trout Spey and Other DIY Stuff
Coming off the big Trout Spey Rendezvous, there are some things I wanted to share for DIY anglers and why Trout Spey fishing, or at least swinging flies, is an important tool to have. It's DIY wade fishing based. That's why. You don't need a Clackacraft and a guide to swing flies. It's a simple technique, very straightforward. On this podcast I'll share things I learned from some of the masters.

Episode 57 // Always Learning New Trout Stuff in Patagonia
I learned a lot this trip about trout fishing, gear, and have some takeaways from fishing the southern hemisphere that will be helpful for anyone and everyone. On this episode I try to keep things relevant to anyone listening, yet informative enough for someone that may want to join this trip someday.

Questionable
Listening to your podcast about Campeche…
I would consider hiring a local guide to be included with your group chat/podcast. Tired of these destination podcasts with people who have spent a few weeks somewhere breaking down the fishing.
Information is suspect at best. Tides don’t play a significant roll in tarpon fishing mangroves? You fish straight 40 because the fish chew leader? In the keys you made it sound like they fish 20 to the fly?
All miss information. 16 is classic IGFA(more than 15”). There is a 20 class. Shock is typically 12” or less of 60. Fat tides keep fish in the mangroves.
Otherwise, seem like nice guys. Just trout fisherman.
