A Very Messy Message: If God is Good Then What Are We Saved From? Part 1

A Very Messy Message: If God is Good Then What Are We Saved From? Part 1

A common question I hear from folks escaping the grip of the doctrine of eternal conscious torment is, "If God is that good then what are we saved from?". In an attempt to answer that important question, I'm recording a video series for our Patreon supporters and releasing the audio to all of you via the podcast. This message is just the start of the series and new messages will be added to that conversation over the next several weeks.
You can get instant access to this video (and others) by joining the ranks of the beautiful humans who generously support the podcast via Patreon by clicking here.
You can connect with me on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. You can subscribe to the Messy Spirituality blog here.
Please be on the look out for episode 36 of the podcast featuring Peace Catalyst International Interim President Martin Brooks releasing on Monday, February 20th!

A Very Messy Message: A Starting Point to Peace

A Very Messy Message: A Starting Point to Peace

And now for something completely different...

In this episode, I share some rough, unedited thoughts that have been percolating in my heart about learning to live at peace with God, ourselves, and the whole human family.

I invite you to join me in praying the following benediction at the end:

Creator of all Who keeps no record of wrongs Who points no finger in blame Who loves every member of the human family with scandalous love Teach me to see you, myself, and the whole human family through your eyes Hear through your ears Serve with your hands Forgive with your grace And love with your heart Amen.

Episode 34: The Church We Dream Of, Part 4 with Derek Myers

Episode 34: The Church We Dream Of, Part 4 with Derek Myers

This episode is the fourth installment of our "The Church We Dream Of" series on our collective hopes and dreams for the future of the church. My guest for this final conversation of this series is recording artist/songwriter Derek Myers.

More than anything, he longs for people to experience the freedom of knowing Abba's heart and seeing themselves as ones deeply loved by Him.

In this interview, we discuss Derek's evolving faith, spiritual influences, aspirations for the church, and what God wants from us today.

I think you're really going to love Derek's music and the heart behind it that he shares with us in this episode.

Awesome podcast

This has quickly become one of my favorite podcasts. Jason does an amazing job interviewing his guests. I love that he isn't afraid to ask the hard questions. Another great tool in my deconstruction, and reconstruction.
