Dr Turknett is the only dr. who has helped me
After 30 years of my life being ruined by migraine my misery has ended. Nothing else has worked for me. As long as I stay on the program I don’t get migraines any more. I was so desperate I wanted to die so I was willing to try this lifestyle and diet. It wasn’t immediate because I kept cheating but once I put it together that cheating equals migraine pain I have been free. Forever grateful.
Inspiring
Fortunately, I’m don’t have migraines. But I do have a brain that I’d like to keep healthy into old age. As an older man, I’m getting closer to the age when we start to notice dementia, maybe there’s still time to limit or even reverse the damage done by living a high-carb, grain-centric diet that we were advised to follow for several decades. I’m already a few years way down this road of caring for the brain as part of the body, just like I care for my heart and lungs, liver and muscles. I also wonder if this approach would help for someone with a TBI.
I found this because I went back to review some of Dr. Turknett’s writings on neuroplasticty, mindset, and effective learning that I found helpful a few years ago.
I find this very helpful as a reminder to keep taking the next step and I find it inspires me to keep on track, even if it gets difficult. Oh, and there is plenty of practical advise for how to do that.
Great doc!
I haven't had classic migraines in years (due to low carb diet) but am really happy to hear his insights that helps sufferers. I usually listen to his epsisodes twice to get all the science content.
