Episode 61 - HotD Season 1 Wrap Party
It had it's ups and downs, it's fire and blood, it's young dashing Criston Cole and it's equally dashing slightly older Criston Cole; it's the first season of House of the Dragon, and it's officially in the can. We hope you've been enjoying following along the season with us and want to send our listeners off with some entertaining discussion about the last 10 weeks of Westerosi TV. Tune in to hear talk about topics such as: best/worst character, best dragon, best/worst prop, worst relationship, and best episode. Thank you all for listening and know that even though we're going on hiatus for now, The Mummer's Farce shall return!

Episode 60 - Greg Yaitanes - HotD 110
It's season finale time and the storm has really picked up now so pull up a seat at the Mummer's Farce's painted table and help us guess what the different props mean. In this episode, we see Rhaenyra's side of things as a companion piece to Alicent's last episode, and how through a series of unhappy accidents, the spark of war is lit. Daemon serenades a gnarly dragon underground, Rhaenyra is crowned high above, and for most of this episode Rhaenys stays someplace in between. Plus, a friendly reminder to keep your pets leashed at all times while flying around Storm's End.

Episode 59 - Clare Kilner - HotD 109
It's the penultimate episode of House of the Dragon, so it's time to meet a new set of twins! E-boy and A-boy aside, there is also some great tension in this episode as the Greens move to fill the power vacuum with their own ascendency. I know this show has been renewed for another season, but here it seems like Rhaenys kinda made that call, for good or ill. Elsewhere, Alicent gives her father a talking to, Criston Cole sinks one into the corner pocket, probably Mysaria's house maybe burns down but probably she's not in there because maybe she's smarter than that but probably the show should have written her better earlier in the episode if they didn't want this straightforward plot point to be so confused.

Episode 58 - Geeta Vasant Patel - HotD 108
It's time to don your golden half masks and tune in to another episode of The Mummer's Farce! This week Kate and Dan talk about bad CGI tongues, sappy dinner conversation, and whether any of these characters actually want the throne they all seem so determined to acquire. At least the new Aemond casting seems fun, even if he seems to be the portrait Criston Cole is keeping in his attic. Also have you heard about this dagger? Hoo boy, what a dagger it is!

Episode 57 - Miguel Sapochnik - HotD 107
The plot thickens as the blood thins (much to Vaemond's dismay) in the latest episode of House of the Dragon. Aemond claims a dragon but still gets beat up by a bunch of babies, Alicent begins to unfurl, and Rhaenyra faces that darn dagger once again. After so much action, I feel like I need to make like a member of the royal family and "go to bed," but not before taking in the latest episode of The Mummer's Farce!

Episode 56 - Miguel Sapochnik - HotD 106
With all this talk about a time skip, you'd think we were watching science fiction instead of fantasy. Anyway, everyone is suddenly 10 years older and the split between Rhaenyra and Alicent has only widened. There are long takes, big swings, and a huge old dragon with perhaps the most touching moment in the whole episode. Plus there's a whole new meaning to the phrase "meet the beetles." Join us as Kate and Dan unpack this "mid-season premiere."
Note: Due to technical difficulties during recording, we are missing a few minutes in the middle of the show, and after the break, audio was pulled from backup recording devices, so you may notice a difference in quality.
