The Door You Have Been Searching For

I quit law school because of Rick Barker. That's a good thing. Because it was just another Plan B that was stealing time away from my ultimate goal: making it in the music biz. Before there was an MIB podcast, I was another struggling musician, a single mom in law school full-time and 7 part-time jobs. I stumbled across Rick's Youtube channel and watched his entire "25 Minutes to Nashville" series. I knew right away that he was a 'straight shooter.' And I was shocked that someone in the music industry was opening the door and giving us indie artists an inside peek into what it was really like on the other side. He was spilling the secrets. I needed to know more so I signed up to get his free book. But I still wasn't sure if I wanted to be part of the group coaching program. Who was this guy REALLY? So I Googled him. Yup, Taylor Swift's former manager. He was telling the truth. If he was telling the truth about that, maybe he was telling the truth about everything. I joined the group coaching and found that there are lots of people out there like me. People who still know how to not only dream but make dreams happen. And Rick is helping all of them. But time is precious and half my time was spent on the road between jobs....and then it happened. Rick started the MIB podcast. A free resource where I could get the straight shooter style I was used to and a regular feed of info on music jargon, the best and latest social media platforms, introductions to other teachers in the music space, tactical support, emotional support, current events and more. Best of all, Rick knows what it feels like to be at the bottom of the pile in this thing called LIFE. Do you think it is impossible to achieve your dreams? That maybe there is nothing good left for you in this world? Then start with Podcast episodes #232 and #233 to hear Rick's story and be inspired to pick yourself up and begin again. Welcome to the REAL music world.
