ABOUT DR. EMILY WASSELL

Emily Wassell  is an enthusiastic life-long learner with a passion for education. She is an experienced researcher, consultant, and instructor in multiple settings with a diverse skill set including proven success in curriculum design, leadership, and teaching.

Dr. Wassell spent 10 years as an educator, developing curriculum for students, parents, and educators, providing creative instruction, E-Learning, and incorporating research-based teaching methods for increasing skills. She earned her Master of Arts in Teaching secondary students, and her PhD in Educational Leadership with a focus on the Science of Wellbeing.

She is the founder and director of the Paonia Experiential Leadership Academy, which is designed around academic outcomes, the science of wellbeing, and the ways of knowing. She is a mother of two boys, and loves to swim, be in nature, and spend time with her family.
