Chris Theis, Jacob Nails, and Lawrence Zhou discuss the 2021 NSDA Nationals topic, Resolved: A public health emergency justifies limiting civil liberties. They discuss some thoughts about how to improve the topic voting system before talking about their general thoughts on the topic, not particularly positive in nature; background information and interpretational issues, such as definitions, examples, and thoughts about burdens; and common affirmative and negative arguments and strategies, such as quarantines, libertarianism, the trust disadvantage, and democratic backsliding.
