Les Miserablés (2019)
It’s a rare occasion when Steve and Andy have an in-depth conversation about a film. One thing you can be sure of is that they know how to pick them. For this Trailer Rewind, Steve and Andy are traveling abroad for a suspenseful ride along with Chris, Gwada, and Stephane Ruiz in 2019’s Les Misérables.
Hillbilly Elegy • The Film Board
This last week we Americans all did our best to celebrate our Thanksgiving in ceremonies modified by the COVID 19 Pandemic. Netflix released “Hillbilly Elegy” on the Tuesday before the holiday and some may see the Appalachian memoir as a bit non-festive, but the autobiographical nature of the story is important. What’s the purpose behind telling a story like this now and what does it tell us about the people and their characters in it? The Film Board will take its own turn here, reviewing the film adaptation of J.D. Vance’s story of personal geography, growth and change.

Fun and enlightening
This is my favorite podcast which brings a whole new depth and perspective to the art of movie making, with a wonderful sense of humor throughout. It is so good that I bought the T-shirt.
Wasted tome but good review
It seems every episode has about 20 minutes of wasted time at the beginning before you get to the actual review. More critical the wasted time is not about the movie. It’s mostly wasted talking about nothing at all. Once you get to the movie it does get better. And the review is worthwhile to hear. So I recommend to all listeners to just skip ahead and not waste your time on their useless conversation.
Another film podcast with an uninformed host. Dime a dozen.
