How willing are you to suck at this whole coaching thing for a bit?

How willing are you to suck at this whole coaching thing for a bit?

The Coaching Industrial Complex puts so much pressure on new coaches to be GOOD and SUCCESSFUL right away, and subtly (or not so subtly) reinforces the idea that  if we're not "succeeding" it must be because there's something wrong with US, not with the industry we're swimming in.

But what if you were willing to let it be messy, imperfect, and to make a lot of mistakes on your way towards figuring out who you are as a coach and what your work is going to look like over the long haul? What if the path towards mastery involves a ton of practice, "failure", and learning along the way?

Are you willing to be a beginner for as long as it takes until you're not? Are you willing to prioritize learning over any particular result, to be bad at something until you're good at it? What would it be like if you stopped punishing yourself for not having it all figured out? All of this, plus what coaching has to do with Poker, in today's episode.

My new favorite podcast

I recently found Allegra’s podcast through a fellow coach and I started listening from the beginning of the episodes. I was blown away. Allegra, where were you months ago when I got certified, joined a “business building” group and proceeded to have anxiety, fear and lost the joy of it all?!? I wish I had known about you, your program and this amazing podcast. This is a MUST listen for all newbie coaches!! And coaches in general. It will save you $, anxiety and you’ll retain the joy of coaching. Thank you for this wonderful content!!

Just discovered, already useful

I’ve started a conversation project for my coaching practice because of a recent podcast. I love how Allegra gives us permission to be ourselves and run our businesses in an authentic way. I’m a new fan and can’t wait to hear more!
