    In May 2024 our staff, supports and friends took on the derbyshire 3 peaks challenge for raise funds for our work. The goal was to raise £10,000 for our 10 year anniversary. Along the way we recorded some interviews with those you had dared to join us on this walk. Expect to hear some tired but passionate voices and to be more informed and inspired about Naked Truth's work. You will hear from our schools workers about what it's like to talk about porn in high schools, some of our counsellors and recovery team and even some insights into how and why all this started in the first place.     You can't fight something with nothing

    In this episode Ian Henderson and Cat Etherington discuss contributions from authors Glynn Harrison and Andrew Bauman. They focus on how to shift from just fighting against something negative like porn, towards finding flourishing in something positive and life-giving. They discuss Andrew's Bauman's description of a sexually healthy man, including being rooted in community, owning our mistakes without letting them own us through shame, and using our power for good by advocating for others. They also explore Glynn's thoughts on examining one's desires and motivations, through the lens of our faith, the ways culture has reduced the concept of intimacy, and that the church needs a revolution in its thinking, not just focusing on salvation but also painting a vivid picture of what it is for.
