The Omniplex is open, and so is this lost film canister full of spinach! While the larger conversation is on lost media (hard looking at you, HBO Max...), today we talk about the unearthed full-length animatic of Genndy Tartakovsky's unmade animated Popeye movie. What would it have been? Why did it get cancelled? We are not here today to answer those very specific questions, but we take a good hard look at what's there and what might've been if it had gone through final animation, voice, and possible producer notes. So come join us as we pop open this can of spinach!
While we aren't going to provide a direct link to the film's animatic, if you enter "Genndy Tartakovsky popeye animatic" into a search engine, you'll find it easy.

The Omniplex is open, and well, um... what can we say? All we can do is lift up the art that, be it good or bad, comforts us in hard times. This week we discuss The Bob's Burgers Movie, Marmaduke 2022, Roger Ebert being horny on main, and Zephyr gets Morbed.
Go check out The Grey Rooms, a horror fiction podcast for which Zephyr is now a writer for the upcoming seasons 4 & 5! We are very proud of her!
While you're at it, go check out Cinema From the Spectrum, where Austin is now editor in chief!

Everybody dance, The Omniplex is open!! This week, come with us to 60's Baltimore, as we talk John Waters' 1988 classic Hairspray! We briefly explore the partnership between superstar drag queen Divine and John Waters, and compare the 2007 musical remake, and what makes this a smart classic take on desegregation through the lens of the 80's.
For further reading, we recommend watching the I Am Divine documentary, which can be watched for free on the Tubi or Kanopy apps.

    OPX 21:Nutcrackin’ Easter (Uncredited Jesus)

It's Easter at The Omniplex! And what better way to celebrate than by talking about.. a Christmas movie?? Yup, this year instead of hiding eggs, you will need to hide your nuts, because this week's movie is 2009's Russian-Hungarian production The Nutcracker: The Untold Story (aka The Nutcracker 3D)! From us shaking our heads in disappoint at an otherwise fantastic cast (Nathan Lane, John Turturro..), and baffling at the unneccesary Nazi imagery, come join us as we take down this bad Christmas classic... for Easter.

Meet Clay Walsh. A man with ideas. Ideas about how to have a better dating life through deep deep misogyn- uh, we mean God. And a thousand yard serial killer stare SO hey, The Omniplex is open, and we're here to talk about Old Fashioned, the second Pureflix staple after God's Not Dead (though just as bad). Join us as we learn about dating, love, maybe some Jaysus? All through the lens of a simple carpenter (..but not THAT one, he is far far away from this movie).

OPX 19: Covid VI - Omicronian Blues

We can't believe we're doing another one of these either. (Well... actually we can.) It's another Covid cast, Omicron edition. This time our hosts talk Encanto, Don't Look Up, Miracle Workers, Spiderman: No Way Home (don't worry, very minimal spoilers), and much much much more! Remember.. be safe out there. Get vaccinated and boosted, and keep wearing your masks. (Editor's note: This cast was recorded at the beginning of January, to put a time stamp on it.)

DHY Productions ,

Dirk Maggs

Enjoyed the new Dirk Maggs episode! Great hour and half of conversation, and I do love a podcast that lets their guests speak freely with little interruption. You guys did a great job of facilitating that. It was refreshing to hear. Keep up the great work!

Bubbawheat ,

Interesting perspective on films

Austin and Albert bring an interesting perspective on films and share my own love of comic book films. It's also refreshing to hear someone be open about being autistic and how it's often misrepresented in TV and film.

Mr.W.Dubs ,

Narrow minded viewpoints

It is easy to bash a movie, but doing it while being more entertaining than what you are reviewing takes skill, which this podcast fails. You review Zapped Again! as a movie that anyone would take seriously? Also, Key Club, which you ripped on exists, look it up.
