SUNDAY EDITION: Robyn Crawford Is The Only One Standing Up To Amazon Only One In The Room

    • Personal Journals

Romance novels are big business. According to the Romance Writers of America, the romance fiction industry is worth $1.08 billion dollars a year, which makes it about a third larger than the inspirational book industry, and about the size of the mystery novel genre and science fiction/fantasy genre markets combined. Look up the top selling romance novel authors and you’ll find a long list of mostly white women. Pick up a romance novel at the airport or your local book store and you’ll most likely find a young, white, cis-hetero, blond haired, blue-eyed heroine. Things are changing though, thanks in part to our guest, Robyn Crawford.  Robyn launched Eden Books in March 2019 after one of her favorite authors had her book banned from Amazon for content. Robyn soon discovered that other books that were being banned for content were often by people of color or queer people. The Black Dagger Brotherhood  K.
