The hour of judgment is upon the Second Citadel, and its self-appointed judge, jury, and executioner sharpens his blade in wait. It may not be true that might makes right -- but if the mightiest are wrong, who can stop them from saying otherwise?

Some people will do anything to protect their home. The trouble arises when others who live there disagree on what they must be protected from.

Welcome to the Penumbra, dear Traveler. We hope you enjoy your stay.

Holiday Special: The Miracle of Eight

Holiday Special: The Miracle of Eight

In the days following the fall of the First Citadel, humanity's last survivors looked to their Saints for guidance through drought, exhaustion, and famine. And many, many years later, four humans and a lizard-bug-man-thing found themselves with a daunting task of their own: to make it through a family dinner without driving each other completely insane.

Which had it harder? It's a toss-up, honestly.

Welcome to the Penumbra, dear Traveler. We hope you enjoy your stay.

3.21: Juno Steel and What Lies Beyond (Part 1)

Juno Steel has been feeling a little out-of-body, lately. Kind of like... well, it's been so busy he hasn't even had time to listen to his own thoughts. But the day of a wedding demands reflection: on where we came from, and where we are going.

And at the end of a good thing, is there any question scarier than "where are we going?"

Welcome to the Penumbra, dear Traveler. We hope you enjoy your stay.

LISTEN! NOW!

This podcast is AMAZING! It is super inclusive, and the characters, theatricality, and plots are all impeccable! The writers are criminally good at making me feel for these characters, and with every turn I grow a bit more attached. I have yet to listen to the Second Citadel, but Juno’s character development is glorious and I know for certain that when a new episode pops up in my feed, I’m dropping everything to listen (also my new favorite thing is Jet Siquliac (I have no idea how to spell his name) and various other Carte Blanche members making Juno sputter in disbelief. I am honestly astonished that anything could surpass my love of Rita’s laugh, but here we are) (also I’m currently listening and I keep opening this up to add something before closing it at risk of sounding like a huge dork... but it’s too late. If I put everything I liked about this podcast into this one post, it would no longer be a post. It would be an essay)

the grandest podcast on this side of nowhere...

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING

Fantastic and inclusive characters

One of my favorite podcasts. I particularly love the Juno character - but all the characters are remarkably well-developed. Thank you for featuring LGBTQ+++++ characters in such a cool narrative.
