Wild, wonderful, West Virginia. Maybe they could throw in ‘weird’. There have been some strange things reported to have happened in different parts of the state back in the 1950s and 60s. Both created nationwide and even global attention for the tiny towns, with tourists and lookey-loos descending like locusts. Were these hoaxes perpetrated to attract the gullible with pockets full of cash and make a quick buck? Or were these true reports of other-worldly or extraterrestrial creatures?

He was known by the most famous figures of European history. He enticed royals and the rich alike with his vast knowledge of science and history, his musical ability, his easy charm, and humor. He spoke 12 languages and he could play the violin like a virtuoso and was an accomplished painter. Did the Comte de Saint Germain acquire this knowledge naturally? Or was he a time traveler who was able to learn so much because time was infinite? 



Also, in 2002, a French Catholic priest and writer published a book, titled The New Vatican Mystery.  In it, he wrote of a device called the Chronovisor that allowed the user to look and hear into the distant past. It was housed in the Vatican. Enjoy these two time traveling journeys.

In 1961,  chicken farmer Joe Simonton says he was visited by a pair of aliens, requesting some water. In a wordless exchange a few minutes later, Joe said one of the aliens handed over what looked like a pancake hot off an alien griddle. Here's that story.

What defines death? Or maybe the better question is, when is dead dead? That may sound like an easily answered question, but death has been determined in a variety of ways through human history. In the 1800s and before, if heart and lung function were not detected, the person was deemed to have passed on. Yet there were many cases of very sick or catatonic people being buried alive.  Later in the 20th century, the cessation of brain activity was viewed as the end of life. Yet the heart and lungs could be pumped to keep the brain dead person technically alive. And then there was the debate in 2002 about cerebral death versus whole brain death. Here are 4 accounts of a beloved family member finding a way to reach from beyond the grave to deliver a message of comfort.

Dear old mom … there is nothing on earth like a mother’s love for her child.  She’d stand between you and a hungry lion. She’d give you the last piece of bread on Earth if it came to that. All else is secondary to her child. Now…what if that woman was replaced? I’m not talking about a step-mom or anything like that. I mean, what if the woman you knew to be your mom was replaced by something resembling your mom. But things weren’t quite right … similar but just not quite your mom. That would be weird, right?
