A Restoration of Faith: Well, I Guess it Would Be Nice

A Restoration of Faith: Well, I Guess it Would Be Nice

    [HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!]
Wherein Harry tries to avoid paying the Troll Toll, but might still have saved a girl's soul! He may not be the Champion of the Sun, but Harry's words of wisdom, coupled with the coolest mood ring this side of the Atlantic bring a young girl back from the brink while his quick thinking and Murphy's bravery shut down the troll blocking their path.
For a first time writer its an incredible piece of art, and the seeds he plants are awesome to look back on now I've enjoyed much of the harvest feast.
We talk subways, swamps, and libraries, Josh's brain is the exact opposite of a steel trap, and finally, Lyss is grossed out by something more than her brother! (DO YOU BELIEVE IN MIRACLES? YESS!!!). Come wait by the dumpster for Nick with us as we prepare to walk across the bridge that introduced the world to Harry Dresden, wizard. A Restoration of Faith starts......RIGHT NOW!

Something Borrowed: Seared Shellycobb and Your Finest Jellybeans, Raw

Wherein Billy is such a good dude he doesnt make faux-Georgia brush her green-ass teeth. Harry and Murphy save the day with some cool action scene spell-casting and fire-leaping awesomeness, Big Willy B gets the girl of his dreams, Harry would be the worst EMT ever, and Josh is so old even napping is hard.
I've seen some of these underworld bride deals and, and they never end well. Well, maybe once. Please stand, smile at the old man walking her down the aisle, and cry with us as the organ starts to play "Here Comes the Pod".....RIGHT NOW

    The Warrior: Long Range Sledgehammer

    The Warrior: Long Range Sledgehammer

Wherein Harry learns not all priests are as cool as Forthill. Someone is gunning (snipering?) for the Swords, and Harry has to enlist--and then save via murder-offer-- a retired knight to see this battle through.
We get a glimpse of Michael limping around living his best life, while Harry changes the world one pep talk at a time, and a villainous priest kidnaps a girl, sends threatening messages, and pushes our knight to the edge.
Short story The Warrior is on the docket so dig through that dumpster and change your pants....its starts NOW

Turn Coat pt. 1: Ch 1-6: Are We Sure He Started With a Throat?

Turn Coat pt. 1: Ch 1-6: Are We Sure He Started With a Throat?

Wherein Harry finally gets some power over Morgan, and somehow it makes his life miserable. Stop me if you've heard this one before, but Butters comes through in the clutch, and even Josh got excited for the Murphy chapter, but its bleak early.  The White Council is on the brink, with two bands of rogues are licking their chops. We learn why The Sight is so dangerous: a mere glimpse of the foe floored our hero. Though a good old fashioned de-throatification to Kirby hammered home how outmatched we are!
We, and dead villains galore, know safe money is on our dog, but round 1 was thorough: Harry got brain-mushed, one Alpha KIA and another knockin on the door; and the Skinwalker was just toying with them.
And oh yeah....the least subtle character in fiction history has to keep a gigantic secret from a millenia-old organization who traffic in knowledge as much as magical power!
Quoth the Bard, "Thus bad begins, and some serious shit remains behind!" (I bet that was how the rough draft went). Shut down your Sight, I promise no prime numbers are afoot, but chunk 1 of Turn Coat starts with a bang....RIGHT NOW!

Turn Coat Pt. 2: Ch7-13: Who Invited Them Into Mister's House?

Turn Coat Pt. 2: Ch7-13: Who Invited Them Into Mister's House?

Wherein Harry learns about the ONE time Morgan was cool! We visit the most exclusive night club in Chicago where Harry actually tries, though ultimately fails, to keep his mouth shut. More importantly, though if you blink you might miss it, but for like 3/4 of a second there, Thomas actually gives himself credit!! Im calling this novel a win, no matter what happens from here!

Harry gives the Cap'n a fun--albeit shortlived--nickname, we get a peak at Molly 's deep-seated trauma, and Lyssy reiterates that she likes spiders more than ants cuz shes somehow even weirder than we thought.
Come for the Dresden, stay for the four minute asides about comedy sets and a soccer coach Josh really likes! Hey at least they arent about youth water polo anymore! Put on some sexy bass music and that rubber catsuit youve been pretending the old tenant left in the closet.....we're going to ZERO, and Turn Coat chunk two gets real sexy......RIGHT NOW!

Turn Coat pt. 3: Ch 13-18: Yes Lyss, You're Right!

Turn Coat pt. 3: Ch 13-18: Yes Lyss, You're Right!

Wherein Harry adds the Merlin to the list of people he hates that he's risking his life for. We travel to the seat of White Council power in Edinborough and get a great look at how differently Harry and the Senior Council go about their respective business.
Harry gets a casefile that Murph looks at for three seconds before finding a major clue, we meet Binder, shortly before he gets bound, and we realize Thomas is MIA.
We're slowly making progress on the case, Harry and Morgan are having a shouting match in Dangersville, USA, and this pod is finally getting posted. Don't kill the messenger--er, podcaster--Turn Coat chunk 3 starts RIGHT NOW!
(Lego Joseph fit for this post: The Senior Council!)

Finally we can talk about my favorite series as adults!

Well balanced look at a beloved series. The hosts have great cooperative chemistry and are intelligent and well informed. Their insights are sharp and they have fun at the same time, without shying from fair criticism.
