The BEST Pre-PA resource out there!!
I have learned so much about applying and interviewing (especially interviewing, love her tips!!) for PA school and about the PA profession! I am so thankful I had this as a resource when I applied to PA school, it was a TOTAL life saver!
Good Information
Love the information. The quality isn’t great, and I’ve found background noise, talking to child, etc. distracting.
Overall a good resource
I am a big fan of the Premed Years podcast by Dr. Ryan Gray. The podcast is a fantastic resource and Dr. Gray is a superb interviewer. When I started thinking about becoming a PA, I searched for a podcast similar to the Premed Years. This podcast is the closest I could find.
I am a nontraditional student (I have a degree in an unrelated field) and absolutely love listening to stories from other career-changer nontraditional students. I would love to see more interviews from these types of nontraditional PA students. I would also love to listen to an episode that talks about how to afford preparing for PA school. Most if not all jobs that qualify for patient care experience do not pay well.
One last suggestion: As another reviewer commented, at times, the interviewees are interrupted by Savanna so that she can talk about her opinion on something or her experience with something. The way in which this is done is slightly annoying, as it interrupts the flow. I think it’s best to let the interviewee talk more and to try to avoid unnecessary tangents. But maybe this is just my personal preference and it doesn’t bother most people!
Overall, this is a good resource for those who are exploring the PA route. Keep up the good work!
