The initial purpose of the PRESS was to actively recruit people to pray and document their prayer time so that TPYD could account for 1,000,000 minutes of prayer in one month. Not only did TPYD reach it's goal of accounting for a million minutes of prayer, but it was soon realized that the PRESS was bigger than simply counting minutes. In just a few short months of advertising, TPYD was on TV, radio, doing conferences and had over 17,000 fans on Facebook. The movement was only beginning! Now there a have been PRESS clubs in over 40 locations- including universities, YMCAs, neighborhoods, high schools and more!     Prayer: When the Church Lets God Choose

    In this episode of the Press Movement Podcast, we step into the opening chapter of Acts of the Apostles—the birth of the New Testament church. About 120 believers gather in an upper room waiting for the promise Jesus gave them: the Holy Ghost. But while they wait in prayer, they also face an important decision. Judas has fallen, leaving a place empty among the twelve apostles. The church must now decide who will fill that role. Instead of campaigning, debating, or fighting for position, the disciples do something powerful. They pray. “Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, show whether of these two thou hast chosen.” This moment reveals something critical about the church: position in God's kingdom is not political—it is spiritual. The early believers understood that leadership belongs to the Lord. Their job was not to manufacture authority but to seek God until He revealed it. In a world where titles are chased and positions are fought over, Acts chapter one reminds us that God's house belongs to Him.     Praying: Faith Over Feelings

    In this powerful episode, we stand at the cross during the darkest hour in history. From Gospel of Luke 23 to Gospel of Matthew 27, we witness Jesus in His final moments—feeling forsaken, crying out in agony, yet refusing to abandon His assignment. “My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me?” These are not the words of unbelief. They are the honest cry of humanity in pain. Jesus shows us that faith does not cancel emotion—but emotion does not get to cancel faith. Darkness covered the earth. The veil was torn. Mockers laughed. It looked like wickedness was winning.     Father, Forgive Them!

    At Calvary, Jesus offers one of the most powerful prayers ever recorded: “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.” Beaten beyond recognition, publicly humiliated, abandoned by His closest followers, and nailed to a cross, Jesus does not pray for rescue or revenge. He prays for forgiveness — in the middle of His suffering. This episode explores the depth of that moment. Forgiveness here is not passive or sentimental. It is deliberate. It is costly. It is humility in action. Jesus abandons the right to charge them for what they have done. He releases the debt while it is still being incurred. We also examine a profound truth: sometimes the people who hurt us are unknowingly participating in God’s larger purpose. Their actions cannot cancel God’s assignment.     Nevertheless…

    In the Garden of Gethsemane, we witness one of the most vulnerable moments in scripture. Jesus, fully aware of the cross before Him, falls on His face and prays, “Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me.” He prays it once. Then again. And again. This episode of the PRESS Movement Podcast explores the power of repeated prayer and the strength found in surrender. Gethsemane shows us that asking God more than once is not a lack of faith. Even Jesus returned to the Father in His distress. The disciples, overwhelmed with sorrow, fell asleep. But Jesus let His sorrow drive Him to prayer.
