This podcast is a short Bible Study designed to take you through the Bible, one prayer at a time! We will study the circumstances behind each prayer and learn to strategically apply what we have learned to our prayer lives. In this podcast you will learn how to pray, the power of prayer, the art of repentance and more.Real life means real pressures, but Prayer Reaches Every Single Situation (PRESS)! We don't always know how God will get in our situation, but we can be assured that He will get into our situations. Let's press together! The initial purpose of the PRESS was to actively recruit people to pray and document their prayer time so that TPYD could account for 1,000,000 minutes of prayer in one month. Not only did TPYD reach it's goal of accounting for a million minutes of prayer, but it was soon realized that the PRESS was bigger than simply counting minutes. In just a few short months of advertising, TPYD was on TV, radio, doing conferences and had over 17,000 fans on Facebook. The movement was only beginning! Now there a have been PRESS clubs in over 40 locations- including universities, YMCAs, neighborhoods, high schools and more!     Power to Stay!

    In Acts 16, we see what real faith looks like under pressure. Paul and Silas are doing exactly what God called them to do—preaching, delivering, and advancing the gospel. But obedience doesn’t lead them to comfort… it leads them to conflict.  After casting a spirit out of a young woman, they are beaten, falsely accused, and thrown into prison. Bound. Broken. Publicly humiliated. Yet at midnight… they pray.  And they don’t stop there—they praise. Not in freedom.  Not after the breakthrough.  But in the middle of the pain. And heaven responds. An earthquake shakes the prison. Doors open. Chains fall. But what makes this moment truly powerful isn’t the miracle—it’s the decision that follows. They don’t leave. In a moment where escape was possible, they stayed. And because they stayed, a jailer and his entire household were saved. This episode reveals a deeper level of obedience—the kind that doesn’t just praise in pressure, but stays when it could leave.     The Answer Is Here- Open the Door

    In this episode of the PRESS Movement Podcast, we explore  the powerful events of Acts chapter 12 and what they reveal about prayer, pressure, and God’s response. The early church is expanding rapidly—even through persecution. What began as chaos through the scattering of believers becomes a catalyst for growth, as the gospel reaches beyond the Jews to the Gentiles. God is proving that His power has no boundaries and that salvation is not limited by culture, background, or expectation. But with growth comes opposition. King Herod rises against the church, killing James and imprisoning Peter with the intention of executing him next. From a natural standpoint, the situation looks final. Peter is heavily guarded, chained, and awaiting death. Yet the church responds with relentless prayer. While Peter sleeps in prison, God moves. An angel appears, chains fall off, and Peter is miraculously led out—past guards and locked doors. The impossible becomes reality because of prayer. Ironically, when Peter arrives at the house where believers are praying, they struggle to believe their own prayer has been answered. It takes opening the door for them to fully see what God has done.     Dangerous Obedience

    In Acts 9, we encounter one of the most powerful moments in Scripture—the transformation of Saul. A man who once hunted the church, approved of murder, and operated with authority to destroy believers suddenly comes face-to-face with Jesus. What makes this moment so powerful isn’t just the encounter—it’s the response. Saul doesn’t argue. He doesn’t defend himself. He asks one question: “Lord, what would You have me to do?”  That single prayer of surrender changes everything. At the same time, God calls Ananias—a believer who knows Saul’s reputation. Saul is dangerous. Saul is feared. Saul is the enemy. Yet God tells Ananias to go anyway. And he does. Not only does he go, but he calls him brother. This episode reveals two sides of powerful prayer: surrender and obedience. Saul surrenders his will. Ananias obeys despite fear. And between those two acts, God launches a transformation that would impact the entire world. What started as persecution became purpose. What looked like destruction became destiny. One prayer. One yes. One act of obedience.     In this episode, we walk through the powerful and sobering story of Stephen in Acts 6–7—the first martyr of the New Testament. Full of faith, wisdom, and the Holy Ghost, Stephen boldly stood on truth even when it cost him everything. Instead of defending himself before the Sanhedrin, he delivered one of the longest speeches in Scripture, exposing a pattern: God sends truth, and people reject it. His message didn’t just confront their actions—it challenged their beliefs. And they couldn’t handle it. As they dragged him out and stoned him, Stephen responded in a way that defines true Christianity: he prayed. “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit… Lord, lay not this sin to their charge.” Even in death, he reflected Jesus—speaking truth in love and extending forgiveness to those killing him.     In this episode of the Press Movement Podcast, we step into the opening chapter of Acts of the Apostles—the birth of the New Testament church. About 120 believers gather in an upper room waiting for the promise Jesus gave them: the Holy Ghost. But while they wait in prayer, they also face an important decision. Judas has fallen, leaving a place empty among the twelve apostles. The church must now decide who will fill that role. Instead of campaigning, debating, or fighting for position, the disciples do something powerful. They pray. “Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, show whether of these two thou hast chosen.” This moment reveals something critical about the church: position in God's kingdom is not political—it is spiritual.     Praying: Faith Over Feelings

    In this powerful episode, we stand at the cross during the darkest hour in history. From Gospel of Luke 23 to Gospel of Matthew 27, we witness Jesus in His final moments—feeling forsaken, crying out in agony, yet refusing to abandon His assignment. “My God, my God, why hast Thou forsaken me?” These are not the words of unbelief. They are the honest cry of humanity in pain. Jesus shows us that faith does not cancel emotion—but emotion does not get to cancel faith. Darkness covered the earth. The veil was torn. Mockers laughed. It looked like wickedness was winning. Yet in the middle of abandonment, Jesus resolved: “Father, into Thy hands I commend my spirit.” And finally… “It is finished.” This episode teaches us how to live when feelings scream one thing but faith declares another.
