1162 | Randy Gage: “It Seems the Older We Get, The More We Give Up on Our Dreams.”

Randy Gage ( https://www.randygage.com ) starts off the week with his observation that the older we get, the more we give up on our dreams. And as we give up on our dreams, life turns into a blatant and monotonous routine.

In this episode, he elaborates on how to get your dreams back. According to Randy, most people miss out on real life because they give up on their dreams. As a result, they settle for a life of quiet desperation when they could be living a life of joy, adventure, and prosperity.

Still, Randy believes that there are no limits to what we can dream. For this reason, he provides us with a dream opportunity: An opportunity to give your dreams a chance to be fulfilled and to finally enable you to live a life of happiness and abundance.

1161 | Rev. Ike: “You Are Whoever You Say You Are.”

1161 | Rev. Ike: “You Are Whoever You Say You Are.”

In this episode, Rev Ike ( http://www.scienceoflivingonline.com ) narrates to us a story of affirmation and success. And through this story, he elaborates on how to manifest and bring out our inner aspirations and the good we desire.

According to Rev Ike, what a man thinks, he becomes. For this reason, he highlights the power of feelings, beliefs, and the significance of self-affirmation. So go around feeling, thinking, and acting like you are who you want to be. Affirm and claim, “Yes! I am that I am.”

In sum, he shows us that even the wrong person can get the proper blessing if they make themselves feel right. As the Book of Proverbs states, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” In the same way, with our thoughts and beliefs, we make our world.

1160 | Marisa Peer: “The Mind Believes What You Tell It.”

1160 | Marisa Peer: “The Mind Believes What You Tell It.”

In this episode, Marisa Peer ( https://marisapeer.com ) highlights the power of words and language in our lives. Indeed, Marisa affirms that changing even one word can change an entire life.

According to Marisa, every thought you think and every word you say forms a blueprint, and your mind works to make that blueprint real. In other words, language can have a massive impact and direct influence on our minds and consequently our lives.

Finally, we are reminded to be aware of the words we speak because the mind believes whatever you tell it. Just as Plato once stated, “The soul is cured by certain incantations, and these incantations are beautiful reasons.” Likewise, the words you speak have power and impact in shaping your life.

1159 | Brendon Burchard: “Reframe Expectations.”

In this episode, Brendon Burchard ( https://brendon.com ) illustrates how overworking negatively affects your physical and mental health. True enough, no one’s brain can go and work all the time.

According to Brendon, most of us believe that we have to be machines to produce great results and consistent achievements. However, we fail to see that stress and fatigue keep accumulating and may eventually leave us physically and mentally drained or burned out.

For this reason, Brendon affirms that it is okay to take a break and to let yourself take a rest. After all, there is virtue in both work and rest. Don’t get so busy making a living that you forget to value your own life. At the end of the day, finding a healthy balance is one of the keys to success and enjoyable life.

1158 | Jordan B. Peterson: “You See What You Aim At.”

In this episode, Jordan B. Peterson ( https://www.jordanbpeterson.com ) explains the significance of personal growth and development. And for Jordan, improving the self is not just incredibly advantageous to yourself but also enhances your relationships with the people around you.

According to Jordan, neglecting to organize yourself properly may lead to devastating consequences, even to the people surrounding you. And so he reminds us to be mindful of the things that most of us often take for granted.

1157 | Les Brown: “Ask for Help.”

1157 | Les Brown: “Ask for Help.”

In this episode, Les Brown ( https://lesbrown.com ) empowers us with a pearl of his wisdom on how to endure, get through, and overcome the most challenging periods of our lives.

According to Les, people collapse during tough times because they decide based on their emotions and let fear take control of their minds. For this reason, he highlights the rational thinking of a human being. Instead of being driven by fear, you must think your way through and actively work on a solution.

Les further underscores that it’s okay to ask for help and reminds us that asking for help is not a sign of weakness but a sign of strength, persistence, and determination to keep moving forward. And he reminds us that “Tough times never last, but tough people do.”

Reason to get into Podcasts

Sean Croxton is killing it. This podcast is at first interesting to hear the clips—and they’re a great curated bunch of clips. But Sean does a great job of coaching you through a struggle you may or may not know you have, for the intellectual, maybe even moral, high ground of your mind to help you live your best life, your most successful life...indeed, just live a life with less stress, more appreciation, and some motivation to just keep getting after it in your daily grind. When I found this pod cast, I found the clips addicting. But now I want to hear from Sean, I buy and read the books he recommends or mentions, and I have my students listening to his clips to start our classes (high school class).
Thanks Mr. “Sean Croxton of SeanCroxton.com,” you’ve helped me tackle goals and live smarter, literally smarter. I’m better for having listened to your podcast, don’t ever stop!
