Welcome to The Rebecca Saunders Show - your place to discover how to build resilience, craft confidence and have a huge impact on the world.
This podcast is for female business owners wanting the skills and knowledge they need to show up and stand out in a noisy, digital world.
Over the last decade I have built a global, 7-figure video production company and worked with organisations both big and small to create impactful video content for business growth.
I have a purpose built film studio in Sydney, Australia where my team and I produce live virtual events and I run my signature online program "The Video Accelerator" twice a year to help make that 'scary video journey' just that little bit easier.
Recently, after 25 years of wearing a wig in public I took my first step "out" into the world hair free in a bold move to encourage confidence in front of the camera and ownership of individual uniqueness.
Every week on this podcast you’ll hear honest, insightful and practical conversations with successful business owners, entrepreneurs and video specialists which will give you the tools and knowledge you need to step into your power on the small screen.
Described by my clients as a video ninja, I’m your host Rebecca Saunders and I cannot wait to dive into this podcast with and for you!

When and why you'd work with a professional videographer

When and why you'd work with a professional videographer

I’m bringing you a jam packed solo episode today to talk about when and why you would bring on a professional videographer in your business.

A lot of business owners try to save money by learning a skill that’s not necessarily in their genius zone. DIY video production can work really well up until a certain point, but if your business is expanding, or your content isn’t where you’d like it to be, this is where a professional videographer will be a game changer and allow you to stay smart and savvy.

I’m a big fan of outsourcing and in this episode, I share how you can outsource to a professional videographer in a few different ways. Whether it's from pre-production all the way through to editing or just some help to repurposing your existing content, engaging with a professional might be just what you need to level up.

I also discuss the three tiers of professionals, from fresh out of university to someone like me running a team of video ninjas. I talk about the considerations to keep in mind and the questions you should ask as you're figuring out who to work with.

Wherever your business is at, my goal is to help you have fun engaging with your audience in front of the camera. Creating amazing video content doesn't have to be overwhelming and with a professional in your corner, you can focus on running your business, and sharing your knowledge and expertise with the world.

How I always have content ready to go

How I always have content ready to go

Do you struggle to come up with new content every week?
I know from experience how much of a burden it can feel in your business to be always trying to think of new ideas to spread across all of your platforms. So, I came up with a system and process that allows me to create a quarter of a year’s worth of content in a matter of days!
Instagram reels, videos, photos, podcasts, newsletters, everything!
In this episode, I’m sharing my content planning process and letting you in behind the scenes to see how I always have something ready to go when I need it. I have found my strategy of batch processing content as an absolute necessity to grow my business without the constant stress of trying to come up with something new.
Trust me, it’s not as hard as it looks and I’m going to take you through exactly how I do it today so you can start using it in your business to see immediate results.
In fact, on Friday I smashed out 27 reels in under one hour! This strategy will change the way you create content, change the way you show up online and change the way you have an impact on the world. So stop right now, pull out your calendar, and set aside 3 days of planning and 3 days of content creation to maximise your time, money and energy output.
    You’ve got this!

Becoming an impactful leader with Julie Hyde

Becoming an impactful leader with Julie Hyde

My guest this week is the leader of leaders, Julie Hyde. Julie is a consultant, executive coach, speaker and author who works with leaders across industries and is absolutely passionate about role modelling the way forward. She advocates for being a leader first before you can lead anyone else.
In our conversation, Julie is sharing how to become an impactful leader. We explore how Julie is able to work across both very large cooperations and small businesses and inspire her clients to level up and lead in a way that will engage with the head and hearts of their people.
Being a leader doesn’t end as soon as you walk out of the office door, the true tests of a leader are through challenges and what you do when nobody is watching. If you’re not consistent with your leadership it is very confusing to those you’re leading and breeds distrust so you must remain true to who you are.
Julie spent 21 years in the same organisation and found the higher and higher she moved up the ladder, the more she didn’t like working there as her values just didn’t align with those of the organisation. She decided to pursue her passion and have more of an impact by starting her own business and through her vast experience teaches her clients everything from empathy to hard discussions with CEOs.
Julie shares her top advice for becoming an impactful leader, how to truly understand your values, the difference you want to make and the legacy you want to leave for the future.
This conversation is full of useful information you can take on board to transform your leadership style, continuously evolve and become the best version of yourself.
    Enjoy!

Embrace fearlessness and let go of perfectionism with Shivani Gopal

Embrace fearlessness and let go of perfectionism with Shivani Gopal

My guest this week is the remarkable Shivani Gopal. Shivani is a passionate feminist, serial entrepreneur and finance expert on a mission to create more equality in the world.
In this episode, Shivani is showing us how to embrace fearlessness and let go of perfectionism.
We begin by exploring Shivani’s childhood development and her journey to finding herself. She left an arranged marriage when she was 24 and faced tremendous adversity from those surrounding her. She knew she had to stand for her own happiness against everyone else’s norms of what happiness actually meant so she followed her own path.
Her fearlessness in walking away with only the clothes on her back, and having the confidence to know that she would be able to support herself, led her to become a crusader for financial literacy, financial awareness, financial empowerment and spreading knowledge of the signs of financial abuse in relationships.
Shivani takes us through how to set yourself up financially for success in a relationship by having strong, fun and enjoyable financial conversations together. Discuss with your partner what you envision your lives to be like and then ultimately talk about how you can plan and prepare financially for it together.
Letting go of perfectionism is an act of confidence and takes a lot of work and knowledge. When we hold on to perfectionism we’re also holding on to our own insecurities. Shivani advises us to develop a foundation of fearlessness and knowledge by seeking feedback from a trusted group of people and you’ll find what truly makes you unique.
You’ll find so much invaluable advice and motivation in our conversation to let go of perfectionism in your life and truly start embracing fearlessness. Shivani is an inspiration to women everywhere and after you listen to our conversation, head over to her website to find out more about The Remarkable Woman’s membership.
