Your Unique Selling Proposition As A New Coach

Your Unique Selling Proposition As A New Coach

In the world of coaching, you’re told to just show up, be yourself, and help your clients live their best life.
So, you go through coach training. You put in your hours for review, you build your website, and then you’re told because of the training you’ve received, people will be silly to not want to work with you!
The programs tell you to write a list of 50 people you know to share your recent accomplishments with because those people must know more people that need your coaching. And then, you’re just gonna have a flood of clients…..right?
On today’s episode, I’m sharing why simply being yourself is not enough in developing a strong, lasting, and memorable coaching and consulting business. And what it takes to develop a strong content strategy without spending years coming up with ideas.
You’re listening to The Resilient CEO Podcast.

    IN THIS EPISODE, YOU’LL HEAR:
Why you won’t be able to get clients right out of your coach training program and how you can   Why all the things you may have been doing are keeping you right where you are in growing your business.   How you can develop your unique selling proposition as a coach. Why consistency is key to staying relevant as an expert in your field.  The importance of setting up 5 pillars of your content to stay organized and to speak clearly to your ideal clients.  Why you should be willing to try new ways of driving traffic to the content you’re putting out there.  Ways to get more traffic to your offers, programs, and content.

TELL ME WHAT’S ON YOUR MIND:
What has been your experience as a coach trying to get known as THE expert in your niche?

What do you feel is your unique selling proposition as a coach?

Do you leverage other people’s audiences to become more known in your niche?

    The Power of Community

    The Power of Community

In the world of online entrepreneurship - you spend A LOT of time alone.
Hanging out in your yoga pants, watching webinars - opting into all the freebies - getting stuck in FOMO on your social media newsfeed for 20 minutes, getting ready to plan your content, get your head right, wrapped around all the things you need to do……..which leads to an endless cycle of not taking action and feeling even more ……….

    Alone.

Human beings, by nature are not meant to be alone. We thrive in groups, in communities, and with other human beings who we can relate to, share our frustrations with, and have a combined set of values with.
Taking this road by yourself without support from a community that gets you is the slowest path to gaining the success you want.
On today’s episode, I’m going to share with you why getting involved in a community of like minded people will help you sky-rocket your success. Also, you’ll learn how you can effectively build relationships - and it doesn’t involve spinning your wheels to gain traction in your business by cold messaging everyone with a lame inquiry about what they do. And I thought I would share more about the importance of being involved in the right community for you and how you can tell in the first 5 minutes if the online group you are exploring will be worth your time and effort.
This is The Resilient CEO Podcast.

    IN THIS EPISODE, YOU’LL HEAR:
Why building your business by yourself is the long and deserted road to success.   How you can tell in the first 5 minutes if a group is going to be worth your time.  Ways you can build authentic relationships in the online communities you’re in. This will help you grow and will also offer support to others. It’s a win-win.  When to know you need to have an online community diet - especially if you haven’t been active in those 40 groups you’ve joined.  Why cold messaging people in groups or dropping your sales page links and running isn’t the way relationships are built.  TELL ME WHAT’S ON YOUR MIND:
Seriously, tell me what you have LOVED about the online communities you’ve been in and what you feel has been missing. The comments are yours to share what’s on your mind.

Follow Your Passion with Tahira Bell

Follow Your Passion with Tahira Bell

What happens when you really niche down in your business?
This episode proves that developing a business around your passion and a specific audience will absolutely work well. It’s important to never give up on your dreams of influencing your audience in bigger ways. Even if you don’t think it’s possible right now, take a step back to see the bigger picture. Because being able to recognize that you might want to pivot to work in your passion is brilliant.
Today’s guest believes “emotional intelligence is something that needs to be cultivated throughout life, but even more so as a teenager.” She also knows the value of guiding families through challenging times as a teen life coach, mentor, and teacher.
Tahira Bell is a Teen Life Coach.  She has been passionate about her work with teens since her days in the classroom.  After earning her bachelor’s degree in biology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she combined her love for the sciences with her desire to make the subject real and relevant for young people as a teacher in the Atlanta metro area.  Tahira later transitioned to The University of Pittsburgh and completed a master’s program in secondary science education as a high school teacher.
Aside from her experience as an educator, Tahira Bell is a graduate of the Teen Wisdom certified life coach training program, the only life coach training program with a curriculum that specifically focuses on coaching teen girls.  She is also a graduate of the CAPP (Coaching And Positive Psychology) Institute and holds a certification in personal development coaching. She has spent over fifteen years working with girls also through community outreach efforts, as a tutor and mentor.  Tahira also designs and implements the programming for the HYPE (Helping Young People Excel) of the Kendrell and Tahira Bell Bellievers foundation, a non-profit organization that she co-founded with her husband.
    Resilient CEO’s meet Tahira Bell.

    IN THIS EPISODE, YOU'LL HEAR:
Why developing confidence in what you do is one of the most important things you can do to keep your momentum going.  How parents can support their teens in their development during this trying time.  The difference between coaching and counseling and why it is so important to pay attention to that.  What Tahira did to overcome her fear of niching down and the power of repetition in following your passion.  What you need to do now to instill more confidence in yourself, even if you might be feeling frustrated about who you serve.  TELL ME WHAT'S ON YOUR MIND:
I'd love to hear more about your experience as a teenager. What went well for you to cultivate being a happy and successful adult today? What do you wish you had growing up to make that experience better? If you are a coach or consultant, tell me about what is coming up for you when you think about following your passion and what has stopped you from following through on it. Share your insight in the comments.
