The Restaurant Revolution: Why I Left the Industry and Why I'm Not Going Back The Millennial Agenda

    • Personal Journals

The writing is on the wall and the signs are in the window. All over the country "Help Wanted" signs are everywhere with promises sign-on bonuses and growth opportunities but for some reason the restaurant industry is struggling to find workers. Lines at drive-thrus are getting longer and wait times at sit down restaurants are as well. No one wants to work and believe it or not it has nothing to do with unemployment benefits. For the first time Josh opens up about his time as a bartender and servers and what led him to walk away from the industry. His story is not unique and this episode does not begin to skim the surface of the abuses he experienced. So lets pull back the curtain and talk about why workers are not returning or are now walking out of their jobs in the serving industry.
