The Road Case features the four women of award-winning country band Nice Horse. With each of them coming from very different musical backgrounds, they had no idea their worlds would one day collide into starting a country band together - but they did, and it worked. The ladies have had major ups and downs along the way, resulting in experiences that have been gut-grabbingly hilarious, incredibly trying, occasionally heartwarming, and sometimes downright idiotic. Hop into the tour van and join Katie, Brandi, Krista & Tara - along with radio personality Tera Lee - in The Road Case: stories of life on the road, with some of the friends they’ve met along the way.
15. Dan Davidson: The Case of the Fifth Horse
Dan Davidson is a singer songwriter based in Canada. He's a country solo artist with musical roots in rock. We've had years of friendship with him and in this episode we reflect back on the beginning when he was our "new friend Dan" and we had an unsuccessful writing session after a night of too much fun that not even saltines and gatorade could fix.. and then four years later a repeat of that effort with a much more fortuitous outcome. We chat about something familiar to all of us, a genre switch to country and the challenges and advantages that come along with it.
Dan’s new single Roll With It, with special guests The Road Hammers is due for release May 17th!
14. The Case of the Ambiguous Lobby Calls
On this week’s episode we hear the story that will (hopefully) be Nice Horse’s one and only epic screw-up when it comes to being late. On the plus side, misery does love company and this was not a solo effort. After this tale of tardiness, the ladies bring in long-time friend and Edmonton-based drummer Peter Hendrickson (Nuela Charles, Sidney York) in to talk about a most regrettable trip to the cellphone store.
13. Shawn Desman and Tebey: The Case of the RadioClub
This week on the show we have Shawn Desman and Tebey - best friends with years of experience in the music industry between them. The conversation quickly goes to the good, the bad, and the constant evolution of the industry, and where they’re adjusting and experimenting to find their places within it. With a long history of working together in writing rooms, they also explain how and why they recently teamed up to create hit-making duo RadioClub.

12. The Case of the Party Crashers
We open with a case of mixed connections that lead to an awkward encounter and Tara’s fake marriage. Then the ladies of Nice Horse lay out a how-to guide to crashing events - from parties to awards shows to red carpets, if they're not invited, you can bet they'll be there.
11. Morgan Lander: The Case of the Animal Bands
Morgan Lander is the lead singer and guitar player of the historic metal band Kittie. In this episode we talk about her advocacy for animal adoption and her special shine for elderly cats, she gets Katie talking about her time in industrial rock band Jakalope, and then we dig into a conversation on being female in the music industry with an approach from our cross-genre perspectives.
10. The Case of Krista's Ba$$oon
On this episode, Katie recalls a time when she was singing the green slime broke down blues. Then Krista swings back to the Sidney York days, to a time when she had to restrain Brandi at the US border to avoid being detained (she’s still untamed.)
