E260 – How to Create LASTING Change with Janet Elaine Schmidt

E260 – How to Create LASTING Change with Janet Elaine Schmidt

Have you ever wondered why you do what you do? Why breaking repeating patterns is so tough and replacing them with new ones even harder? Is it possible to create real and lasting change?

What would you say if I told you that you could change the behaviours, traits and beliefs that have been passed down to you? That’s right, passed down to, beliefs that are NOT true and NOT real.

Today’s guest, Janet Schmidt, is a remarkable woman, she is vibrant, loving, and giving. Our conversation lasted well over an hour after we stopped recording.

Janet shares her story about how at a challenging time in her life, she dove in to find answers instead of throwing in the towel and becoming a victim of circumstances. Janet shares how imprinting from a quantum physics and epigenetic standpoint (don’t worry she breaks this down so it doesn’t feel like science class) how these influenced her situation and how she turned things around. Janet also wants you to know that she wouldn’t change a thing, she found her calling because of what happened.

In this episode we chat about:

    Understanding our repeating patterns
Tuning our energetic frequency with what we really want
And she also demonstrates one of her techniques live with me.

E259 - How to Balance Your Hormones with Christa Elza

I don’t know about you but it feels like I woke up in my forties and the wheels were falling off of my wagon. My sleep schedule was all off, I was an emotional wreck, and my thoughts seems to be clouded in a thick fog. It took me a while to clue into that it was likely all caused by my hormones and the fast-approaching menopause.

Joining me for this episode is Christ Elza, a nurse practitioner specializing in weight loss and hormone balance, to share how we can empower ourselves and thrive in this season of life. In this episode we chat about:

    Gut health is foundational
Stress is important to manage if you want overall health
Metabolic health is necessary for energy, weight loss, and hormone balance

E257 - How to Stop Living for Friday with Brianne Ligori

E257 - How to Stop Living for Friday with Brianne Ligori

TGIF, thank God it’s Friday is a mantra that has been spoken for decades. We seem to be conditioned to live our lives for the weekends as if that’s where happiness can be found. We’ve been conditioned to believe that happiness is something that is attached to things that are in our outer world. That happiness is found in the things that we have rather than who we are.

The great resignation is a sign that people are waking up and searching for a life that is founded on purpose. They are choosing to live life on their terms.

Joining me today is Brianne Ligori, who while on vacation in Costa Rica started to question her own happiness and discovered that she was living life for TGIF. We chat about:

    Our inner and outer worlds
    The power of choice
And defining our meaning of happiness

E256 - Wisdom on the Camino with Kathleen Donnelly Israel

E256 - Wisdom on the Camino with Kathleen Donnelly Israel

I first heard of the Camino Santiago in the movie The Way, which shares the story of a father who travels to France to retrieve the body of his estranged son, who died while attempting the pilgrimage to the Camino. While there he decides to take the journey, to learn more about himself and to gain insight into who his son was. Martin Sheen played the role of the father, and the son, was his son Emilio Estevez who also directed the movie.

I’m not sure what draws me to it but the idea of the pilgrimage appeals to me but I’ve wondered if it is something that I could do, physically.

Joining me for this episode is Kathleen Donnelly Israel who at the age of 69 decided that now was her time and embarked on her journey of self-discovery while taking the Camino pilgrimage. We chat about:

    The importance of forgiveness
Learning about who we really are
    And her most important teaching

E255 - How To Have Life Balance with Sasha Morozov

E255 - How To Have Life Balance with Sasha Morozov

As moms we seem to be constantly searching for balance, but are we searching for the unattainable or is it work/life balance achievable? But here’s the question, who’s definition of balance are we seeking and what does it look like?

I was raised by a stay-at-home mom and the only role models that shaped my perception were the moms portrayed in the 80s sitcoms. And let’s face it, even though TV is NOT real life it does influence how we see the world.

Joining me today is Sasha Morozov, to share her 4 step method to help working moms go from burnout to balance. We chat about:

How balance is different than what you’ve imagined
    Creating positive habits
And the importance of communicating with your partner
