    661. 7 Ways To Increase Your Stock Price

    661. 7 Ways To Increase Your Stock Price

Where were you in 2009? At the height of the financial crises, a company's stock price valued at $60/share sunk to less than $1. In a panic, many people liquidated their stocks and PERMANENTLY locked in their losses.

If they'd stayed in, they would've seen exponential gains when the market roared back to life, and if those who owned shares continued to invest-even fractionally, they would've become wealthy.

This episode isn't about investing in the market; it's about investing in you. No matter what is going on in your life, never stop investing and never cash out.

Using my life as an example, I'll show you how I never stopped investing in myself even when I was suicidal, demoted, and had only $11.18 in my checking account.

Hat tip to Tony Robbins' big ass book, "Money Master The Game," for the inspiration.

    660. Don't FREAK OUT! 3 Legs To Your Stool Of Success

    660. Don't FREAK OUT! 3 Legs To Your Stool Of Success

There is not a soul on this earth that hasn't freaked out or panicked. Many of those moments we are not proud of. How you handle yourself next time is dependent on what you learned from the situations before.

Think of success as a 3-legged stool with each leg weighted at 33%: Preparedness, experience, and reflective thinking. If you're missing one of those legs, then you're chopping your chance of success by a whopping 33%!

By the end of this episode, I will ensure that you have all of three legs attached to your stool of success.

    By the way. 33 +33+ 33= 99% The other 1% is LUCK :)

Do what you're made for, not what you're paid for. | 7 ways I've profited from The Sales Life.

Do what you're made for, not what you're paid for. | 7 ways I've profited from The Sales Life.

There are some things in your life that you cannot put a dollar value on it. The Sales Life Podcast is that for me. Even though I've invested thousands of hours into creating nearly 700 episodes, monetarily, I've got little to show for it.

But I have profited in so many other ways that far exceed any amount of money I could have received so far. Unlike income that can be taxed, my profits from TSL have compounded and will continue to pay out massive dividends.

By happenstance, today's episode bookends the two previous episodes (657 & 658). In episode 657, we discussed how to get back into the flow of making decisions. Once you decide, understand that it'll take time to shape and develop your tone (#658).

Today, find the place to create not because you're paid for it but because you are made for it.

Get started NOW using what you have. "Tone is in your fingers."

Get started NOW using what you have. "Tone is in your fingers."

Guitar gurus say, "Tone is in your fingers." I could buy the guitar and equipment that Eddie Van Halen had, but I'm still going to sound like me. On the flip side, Eddie Van Halen can buy a guitar at a garage sale and still sound like Eddie Van Halen.

In the book "Rework," Jason Fried writes, "You don't need special equipment to be good, and you definitely don't need it to get started."

Have you been waiting for the "perfect" time to start your creatives, such as a podcast, YouTube channel, writing, starting a business, or establishing yourself as an expert?

Start NOW because perfect will never come, and greatness is found after starting. It doesn't just take time; it takes time to develop your tone.

Today, I will help you push off to develop your tone so that you can tune into success.

Make a damn decision! The only wrong decision is NO DECISON

Make a damn decision! The only wrong decision is NO DECISON

Early in my management career, I was told, "You can't teach decision making." That never sat well with me because babies aren't born good decision-makers, but as we grew older, we stopped making decisions because we quickly realized there were consequences. To avoid being grounded, whipped, or have our cell phones taken away, we did as we were told and little else.

So it is no wonder today, most people don't make decisions for fear of it being the wrong decision. With my newfound best friend book of the week, "Rework," by Jason Fried and David Hansson, I will help you develop the confidence to make decisions again.

To set the framework of this episode, I'll give you a quote from the authors, "...there's a rhythm to making choices, and if you get into the flow of decisions, you're going to build momentum and boost your morale."

    656. There's more to life than only doing what you're "supposed to do." Transform your life using Outlaw Logic.

    656. There's more to life than only doing what you're "supposed to do." Transform your life using Outlaw Logic.

Isn't there more to your life than doing only what you're "supposed to do?" You're supposed to get to work on time, pay bills, and be a full-time mom, but is that all? What if my life goes off the rails? Am I "supposed to" get it back on track?

"Supposed to" is waiting for others. Outlaw Logic takes matters into your own hands.

"Outlaw logic" is a term that I nearly threw away. It is a philosophy that actor Mathew McConaughey's family has governed their life by.

Today, through examples of others and my own life, I'll show you how to apply Outlaw Logic to your Sales Life.
