Sandersonian Institute of Cosmere Studies #159: Words of Radiance Revisited - "Jordan is the good one of us."

As the release of The Stormlight Archive Book 5: Wind and Truth draws ever closer, the SICS crew is continuing their reread of The Stormlight Archive to get ready for it!
In this episode, Jordan, Amy, and Bill take a look back at Words of Radiance and remember some of the highlights, as well as point out things that they've picked up on since our last discussion years ago. Sandersonian Institute of Cosmere Studies #156: Medicine of the Cosmere - "Gaslight your body into healing itself."

There sure is a lot of talk about medicine, surgery, and other health-based stuff in the Cosmere, isn't there? In this episode, the SICS crew is joined by Roger, a trauma surgeon and longtime friend of the podcast!
In this episode, Roger discusses Brandon's depiction of medicine and the healing arts, both mundane and magical, in Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere. It was great to have a subject matter expert's perspective give us a more informed view as we take a look at these characters and plotlines.

Sandersonian Institute of Cosmere Studies #155: The Way of Kings Revisisted - "I like squishy scenes!"

Stormlight Book 5 is coming, and it's time to start getting ready!
In this episode, Amy, Jordan, and Bill go back to the beginning of The Stormlight Archive and revisit The Way of Kings. We last did a discussion of this full book in 2018, and we figured it was worth a revisit now that we've got a whooooole lot of additional context. We DEFINITELY go into deep spoiler territory beyond just the other Stormlight books, but it's a fun discussion, so join us and let us know what YOU think!

Purgatory73 ,

Great podcast!

Love the in depth knowledge and discussions relating to the Cosmere! Great stuff! Biggest downside is that I need more! I hope to hear a lot more during the year Sanderson!

Great voices and audio. In my opinion A big factor in podcasts is the audio and voice of the people talking. I enjoy the other podcasts made relating to the Cosmere, but a lot of them have unpleasant voices or talk in such a way that grinds on you. Oh and of course audio issues with one person being too loud, next to quiet etc you get the idea. This podcast is wonderful and great production. Thank you and looking forward to more!

JameisP ,

Amazing!

These people have great chemistry, and amazing thoughts! I always learn so much when I listen and having met the hosts I personally think they're great people

vgshdfvz ,

Oh my Adonalsium, these people are GOOD.

I am a relatively new Sanderson fan, and so I didn’t read the cosmere in the “correct” order and because of that I have missed out on a TON of stuff. Luckily for me, these wonderful geniuses, they don’t miss out on ANYTHING. To the point that I have wondered how they even can think of anything else. I now use this podcast as a crucial part of all my re-readings of the cosmere. Sanderson throws super vague passes on everything and these Sandersonians catch every single one and discuss them all the way to the end zone for a touchdown. ;) overall, this is the podcast for everyone who has even heard of Brandon. Thank you.
