Secret Project #1, aka Tress of the Emerald Sea, is out, and the SICS host are excited to talk about it! It's a buckswashling adventure on the high seas, full of romance, whimsy (with a lower-case W, so don't freak out, although how awesome would that be?), and juicy nuggets of Cosmere lore!

Sandersonian Institute of Cosmere Studies #126: 2022 State of the Sanderson - "A full dog doesn't hunt."

Sandersonian Institute of Cosmere Studies #126: 2022 State of the Sanderson - "A full dog doesn't hunt."

    It's the Year of Sanderson!
The State of the Sanderson has arrived, and The Sandersonian Institute of Cosmere Studies has lots to say about it!
Every year, typically on Koloss Head-Munching Day (which just coincidentally happens to fall on Brandon's birthday, December 19th), Brandon Sanderson releases the annual State of the Sanderson post. Over the years, it's grown into a large, greatly anticipated event for those in the Cosmere fan community. While it was delayed a few days as the Dragonsteel team got everything organized (because there was a lot to get organized!), it's now been released. So join Bill, Jordan, and Amy as they talk about Brandon's work over the past year, his plans for the next year, their speculations on some of the things Brandon is still keeping under wraps, and yes, we do devote a good portion of time to the whole audiobook situation. You know the one we're talking about.
A lot of you may be looking forward to a discussion of Secret Project #1. So are we! We'll be talking about that one in just a couple weeks!

Sandersonian Institute of Cosmere Studies #125: "Vin Diagram" - Happy Koloss Head-Munching Day/Happy Birthday, Brandon!

Sandersonian Institute of Cosmere Studies #125: "Vin Diagram" - Happy Koloss Head-Munching Day/Happy Birthday, Brandon!

It's the most munchingest time of the year! Koloss Head-Munching Day comes but once a year, every December 19th, which also happens, by pure coincidence, to be the birthday of the man who started this whole crazy avalanche, Brandon Sanderson!
While the SICS crew were planning to discuss the 2022 State of the Sanderson, it has sadly been slightly delayed. So instead, we discussed the livestream Brandon held earlier in the evening to celebrate his birthday. He opened gifts and answered silly questions as he repeated his signature a ridiculous number of times, joined by his wife and Queen of Dragonsteel, Emily. We hope you enjoy this episode, where we take the opportunity to express our own appreciation and best wishes to our favorite author. Happy birthday, Brandon! Merry Koloss Head-Munching Day to all, and to all a good bite!

Sandersonian Institute of Cosmere Studies BONUS EPISODE - LIVE at Dragonsteel 2022! - More Aluminum Foil Hat Theories

Sandersonian Institute of Cosmere Studies BONUS EPISODE - LIVE at Dragonsteel 2022! - More Aluminum Foil Hat Theories

This bonus episode of The Sandersonian Institute of Cosmere Studies was recorded LIVE at Dragonsteel 2022 at the Salt Palace convention center in Salt Lake City, Utah! At the recording, we asked members of the live audience to come up and present their Aluminum Foil Hat Theories about just what in the world was going on in the Cosmere!
Aspects of some of these predictions have already been proven wrong, while aspects of others were confirmed with the release of The Lost Metal later that evening! So what did we get right? What did we get wrong? Take a listen, then let us know what you thought at cosmerestudies@gmail.com!

Great podcast!

Love the in depth knowledge and discussions relating to the Cosmere! Great stuff! Biggest downside is that I need more! I hope to hear a lot more during the year Sanderson!

Great voices and audio. In my opinion A big factor in podcasts is the audio and voice of the people talking. I enjoy the other podcasts made relating to the Cosmere, but a lot of them have unpleasant voices or talk in such a way that grinds on you. Oh and of course audio issues with one person being too loud, next to quiet etc you get the idea. This podcast is wonderful and great production. Thank you and looking forward to more!

Amazing!

These people have great chemistry, and amazing thoughts! I always learn so much when I listen and having met the hosts I personally think they're great people

vgshdfvz ,

Oh my Adonalsium, these people are GOOD.

I am a relatively new Sanderson fan, and so I didn’t read the cosmere in the “correct” order and because of that I have missed out on a TON of stuff. Luckily for me, these wonderful geniuses, they don’t miss out on ANYTHING. To the point that I have wondered how they even can think of anything else. I now use this podcast as a crucial part of all my re-readings of the cosmere. Sanderson throws super vague passes on everything and these Sandersonians catch every single one and discuss them all the way to the end zone for a touchdown. ;) overall, this is the podcast for everyone who has even heard of Brandon. Thank you.
