    Born and raised in Brooklyn, Nashira became a mom at the early age of 18. She put herself through college and graduated with a master’s degree and nearly $60,000 worth of debt.
    Like many of her clients, she struggled committing to goals without dealing with the emotional and relational aspect of money. Her financial behaviors were the reflection of the brokenness and disappointments that eventually led her to Kansas State University where she completed a certification in financial therapy.

Amy joined NEFE in 2012, overseeing the K-12, college, and adult education programs, including the High School Financial Planning Program, CashCourse and Smart About Money. Amy earned a master’s degree in marketing at the University of Denver and a bachelor’s degree in journalism at the University of Florida. She holds an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC®) certification from AFCPE.

In today's conversation, Amanda Woods will be co-hosting with guest Carolyn Pemberton, Senior Program Manager of America Saves. In this role, Carolyn is responsible for managing all of the America Saves Programs, including Military Saves, while developing new strategic partnerships and alliances.
    Amanda and Carolyn will also be speaking with Charvi Gandotra. Charvi Gandotra is a financial security advocate and practitioner with over 10 years of experience across the United States, and South Asia and Pacific regions. Charvi is currently an Associate Director at Commonwealth where she concentrates on scaling solutions to support financially vulnerable consumers in the US. She works with large employers, recordkeepers, and payroll providers to help them advance access to high quality emergency savings solutions for their employees and consumers.She received a Masters in Public Policy from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, India and holds a Bachelors of Arts in Economics from the Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University, India.
