It really depressing that the recent Gratton study shows today’s young Australians are in danger of being the first generation in memory to have lower living standards than their parents’ generation.

So in this episode I cover my 5 top money habits to teach kids:
* Spend/ Save / Share
* How do you talk about money
* Lead by example
* Part Time Job
* Conscious Spending

TSS 22: Tiny Houses in Australia
In this episode, I talked to AJ from The Joy Box all about Tiny Houses.
Tiny houses are something that is growing in popularity in the USA, Japan & Canada and we are starting to see the trend here in Australia.
AJ was only the 4th person in Australia to have a Tiny House so she is a real expert in this space.
She has also been a real estate investor for over 20 years so she is going to take us through the financial advantages to putting a tiny house on your land as well as how it can help solve Australia’s housing affordability.

TSS 20: Travelling around Australia with Kids
When we work with clients we help them figure out what success looks like for them. It often doesn’t equate to having more money. Often its wanting to do more travel.
So when I saw that my business buddy and mentor Sean Soole was heading around Australia with his wife and primary aged kids for a year I thought this would make an inspiring podcast interview.
In this interview we cover:
* What they did to prepare for their trip
* How they dealt with school on the road
* Their favourite places they visited
* Sean tips for travelling in a caravan
* Heaps more that will leave you inspired and wanting to visit a caravan expo
If you have any questions for Sean Soole then you can ask him inside The Savings Squad Facebook community

Customer Reviews
TSS 24
This is the first podcast I’ve listened to from the savings squad and I enjoyed the tips for kids. Especially how things are becoming more digital, so to teach the kids about banking online. I thought there were some great ideas here!
Good, basic info
I thought this series was relatively comprehensive, and covered a wide variety of topics. I think with more updated podcasts to reflect what the economy is currently doing would be very helpful.
Ok but not that engaging.
Honestly, it was a little boring and not that engaging not enough for me to continue listening to the rest of the episode. Perhaps this is why there has not been an update since 2019? Good for an intro but need some work to retain listeners.
