Welcome to The School of Weight Loss, a podcast dedicated to women in the overweight or obese categories who've tried it all and are ready to get real about creating simple healthy weight loss that lasts. If you have ever heard yourself say "I'll start again Monday" or know what "diet day 1" looks like, then this podcast is for you! On this podcast, I am here to help you ditch uselessly complicated diet rules, gain control of emotional eating, and create a simple weight loss plan that you can and want to stick when life hits (because it will, and that's ok).
I'm Dr. Emily VinZant, an Obesity Medicine & Family Medicine Physician and Certified Life and Weight Loss Coach, and I've made it my mission to help you get healthy while losing weight. That means knowing what the experts say works (and what's a waste of time!) and making it work for your body, your tastes, and your lifestyle. It's creating the plan you can and want to stick to in real life... and then learning how to stick to it. With my expert level knowledge and simple logical plans, you will say goodbye to fad diets, yo-yo weight loss cycles, and out of control emotional eating to hit your healthy weight goals and live there.
Each week, you will hear from me and other success stories as we take evidence-based tools and simplify them to fit the ladies who just want to get healthy, grab a size medium from the shelf, and conquer this weight battle.
