The Shake Up Learning Show with Kasey Bell

I love Kasey’s podcast. I’ve been listening for years. It’s a great podcast to learn new things that you can implement easily into your classroom.

I like the show and appreciate the tips and positivity, but am put off by the closing prayer. I know it’s at the end and I have the option of stopping it, but sometimes my hands are busy at that moment and I’m forced into prayer that I want no part of.

Very helpful show. Kasey offers loads of great tips and resources.

One question and be try to really honest with yourself, Kasey. If you listened to a podcast for almost two years and then all of a sudden the host of that podcast started offering a Muslim prayer at the end, wouldn’t you be a little disappointed? Really stop and ponder that for a sec. Even if that host saved it for the end so you could skip it if desired, I think most Christians would probably see that as an acceptable reason to unsubscribe. Something just wouldn’t feel right anymore. I don’t know you on a personal level and I’m sure you’re a fantastic person, but can you honestly say that wouldn’t bother you? Well...that’s how those of us who worship a different god (or no good at all) feel. I’ve listened since episode 1 and now I can’t help but feel alienated. Like I don’t fit into your clique anymore. I’m honestly not trying to be rude and I truly believe you have every right to worship whomever and however you see fit. But not all of your listeners are from the Bible Belt of Texas and we don’t all see religion the same as you. Just be aware that you’re risking losing some of us. I think it would be a great idea to start a separate feed for quick Christian themed words of encouragement/ prayer/ etc. for Christian teachers. But could you consider going back to having just the Ed tech stuff on the Ed tech podcast?
