    A Hybrid Yarn Festival?

    A Hybrid Yarn Festival?

This week we're exploring the evolution of yarn festivals through the past year or so. Many of the festivals were forced to cancel their in person offer and have looked to alternative methods of putting on their event. After discussing the idea of online events this week, Unravel Festival's hybrid approach piqued my interest.

My go-to after work wind down

I was looking for a knitting podcast for awhile...was searching for just the right blend of entertainment + education + knitting nerd-dom. Well, if you’re on the hunt like I was, search no more! Shiny Bees covers such a wide range of topics, and provides just the right blend of “comedy + yarn in equally large measures”

Great podcast!

I discovered this podcast recently, and I absolutely love it. I decided to start from the beginning, listening to at least one episode per day while knitting or spinning. I especially enjoy the interviews, and I have to say it’s inspiring to hear how various people in the fiber industry got started and advice they may have for anyone considering jumping in.

So Much Fun!

Despite being happily married (to a husband who knits!!), I find that I do have a good deal of alone time while knitting or spinning. Jo makes it like I have a hilarious friend who enjoys having a drink and a laugh with me while I'm playing with fiber. I wish I had known about this podcast sooner--I'm still working my way through catching up from the beginning, while also grabbing the newer episodes as they drop. I love every minute! As an American, I thoroughly enjoy learning about South Africa and areas of the UK. Keep up the fun, girl!
