Rising out of the dark ages of nu-metal, The SIDESHOW led the charge for the New Wave of heavy music at 98.1 WQAQ, initiating a loud rock revival at the prestigious, student-run radio station. What Brian began in 2002 would grow into something bigger than he ever imagined. Garnering critical acclaim with the addition of Nick in 2003, The SIDESHOW would evolve and continue even after its creators graduated. Brian and Nick passed the torch to the ROCK(jock), who further revolutionized the program by bringing it to a worldwide audience. Collectively, The SIDESHOW won two Show of the Year awards and marched on to become the longest running show in WQAQ history. Now, after a two-and-a-half year hiatus, The SIDESHOW rises again…

Well informed metalheads

Brian and Nick know what they're talking about when it comes to metal. The show keeps the listeners up to date on the latest in the metal scene and features in-depth, smart reviews of new albums. You also gotta give them credit for putting out a show consistently every week for years. \m/

Metal Mondays from now on

This is a really entertaining and funny metal podcast. The clash of personalities is perfect - you can't script this kind of hilarious, but smart banter. It's what I wish was on the morning radio. I used to be quite the metal head but fell out of the scene - I got tired of keeping track of all the bands- the news, the releases, the line up changes. I think if Sideshow was around I'd never have fallen out of the scene. I've been enjoying the reintroduction to metal & reminiscing of metal days past. Subscribe already!!
