Great tips!

Laura & Lisa - thanks for the tips on how to aim towards a debt free life! I believe the beginning is the hardest time. Having the realization that budgeting is very important and spontaneous spending can cause stress once you look at your bank account! Spontaneous Spending

You hit some good points on “Money Honey”. I have caught myself in the past making large purchases after receiving bad news or when I was having a bad day. At the time, it was a way for me to ignore my feelings (fear) and covering it up with a new shinny toy. Even tonight, I went out for dinner. I had enough food at home but I figured since I was out and about that I could just spend extra money for some chow. Needless to say, I do not have extra money to throw around on a meal that costs twice as much at a restaurant as it would be if I made it myself. I’ll try to remember your tips the next time I feel the urge to spend money when it’s not necessary. Thanks, Laura!
