This is dear old Uncle Dan writing to you! Your podcasts are so rich in detail that I think I will need to listen again and again. I do appreciate your approach which encourages people to stop and consider the deeper aspects of the scriptures. I remember my Old Testament professor at ND would often say, “People forget that these are ancient texts!” I think what comes clearly through in your podcast is your love for scholarly study. I recall Tevye’s song “If I Were a Rich Man”, when he sings, “And I’d discuss the holy books with the learned me seven hours every day / and that would be the sweetest thing of all.” Thanks John for your effort! I thought of Christ’s words, “All will know that you are my disciples, if you keep my commands.” Love, Uncle Dan
