We are The Small and the Angsty or Sam Henning and Sarah Hinchcliff. We are two slightly undersized (small), very angsty individuals living in Los Angeles who use humor to cope with depression, anxiety, and the many struggles of life. Every week we sit down (often with a drink) to hash out our anguish about our lives and the world at large. We hope that we can help break down stigmas and open up new conversations about mental health, and if we can't do that, we hope we can at least make you laugh. We are on Instagram and Twitter @thesmallangsty

Sarah and Sam get into some hot and heavy tops like no arms versus no legs, resting bitch face, who seems friendlier, emoji use, how they describe themselves, journaling, imagining life without anxiety, physical anxiety symptoms, being an actor, career goals, traveling, Sarah's deep love of The Rock, and lots of other tangential things. @thesmallangsty

I would like to start off this review with the fact that I do not know Sarah or Sam. I stumbled upon their podcast through Instagram, that being said, I am so thankful that I did. If you have ever dealt with anxiety and depression like I have, you can feel utterly alone at times. I was in a dark place when I started listening to the small and the angsty, to just have something to relate to helped me so much. This is not only a podcast that addresses serious issues, but it’s also hilarious. Sam and Sarah have the ability to make you laugh even when they are facing their own demons,to find the balance between dark humor but still be helpful is a skill that not many can master. Neither one of these ladies sugarcoats anything they have dealt with and that alone takes tremendous courage. Broadcasting exactly who you are in blind faith that it will help someone somewhere is entirely selfless. I can’t wait to see what becomes of this podcast but I know that these two ladies have already achieved their goal in helping someone because I am pretty positive they have saved my life. Now, do yourself a favor and listen to the small and the angsty. You won’t be disappointed.
