Such a Fun and Informative Podcast!

This show makes me interested in films I never thought of watching! Sarah has so many great points and Caleb is great at keeping the conversation interesting and on track.

Fun, informative tour of some forgotten corners of Hollywood history

Looks at the Oscars year by year and highlights the film(s) w the highest number of nominations to go without a single Academy Award. This leads to a wide array of films covered, including undisputed classics like It’s A Wonderful Life, overlooked gems like The Children’s Hour, and curios that run the gamut from Olivier’s Henry V to Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte. Discussion covers the film itself as well as the production and historical context surrounding it; this, combined with the hosts’ irreverent but sincere enthusiasm for show biz history, allows the best episodes to have a multifaceted, digressive shape to them, making for a consistently enjoyable listen.

At the time of this review the show is nearly about to enter the New Hollywood era, which promises to be a very interesting set of episodes. Looking forward to the pod’s take!
