This isn't an AA meeting or even a AA speaker tape. When I first started listening to the excellent guests I thought Nan was blatantly cross-talking through out the speakers share. Nan is at her best when she's asking provoking questions or sharing her own insights. At other times, she swerves out of her lane and starts putting sentences in the mouths of her guests and it can be like two people answering the question instead of just one. I enjoy it as a podcast now since its not a share after all. I have nearly the same amount of time as Nan so I also get to hear the definitions again. Thankfully those that keep their recovery in the beginning won't have to go back to it (wink). This is great for anyone who keeps or wants to keep their recovery 'new'. The guests show that despite individual life experiences, everyone can experience recovery. Thanks Nan, I'll keep listening.

How it Works

Nan’s podcasts are a wide ranging mixture of people’s experiences with sobriety. She seems to have interviewed individuals with disparate backgrounds and in various stages of recovery. Her attentive attitude is reflected in the thought provoking questions she asks. Listening intently she responds to her guests statements with inciteful and relevant comments. I particularly enjoy listening to them while driving.

Good but....

I really enjoy this until Nan starts interjecting how awful that God and Christianity can be. Be careful with that- lots of addicts have found this very thing the answer to their recovery.
