The Speed Podcast Ep. 41 - Nick Roach
We finally were able to get former Chicago Bear Nick Roach on our podcast. Before moving to San Diego, Nick had been a part of the TCBOOST family for over a decade. It was a pleasure to get him on to discuss his journey.
The Speed Podcast Ep. 40 - Devan McConnell
It was a pleasure having Devan McConnell on the podcast. Devan is the head sports performance coach at UMass Lowell. He is responsible for the oversight and development of all aspects of physical development for the Ice Hockey team, including strength, speed, and power development, energy system development, nutrition, recovery and regeneration, physiological monitoring, sport science, technology integration, as well as coordination of analytics, long term athletic development, and tactical periodization. In addition to this role, he is responsible for the physical development of the Field Hockey team.
The Speed Podcast Ep. 39 - Emily Pappas
When you speak with Emily Pappas, you don’t just hear the passion in her voice, you feel it too. She is the owner and founder of Relentless Athletics and it is a unique niche. Relentless is an all-female training facility that specializes in Olympic lifting for their athletes. This was a really fascinating talk and we learned a ton from Emily about working with female athletes. This is not a good listen; this is a great listen.
The Speed Podcast Ep. 38 - Brad Dixon
After having Brad Dixon on we wanted to strap on the pads and go play for him. Talk about a coach that has his players' best interest at heart. The way Brad approaches coaching it is no wonder he has been so successful on and off the field. This is a great listen about a guy who coaches a little differently than most coaches and really tries to understand how to help and get the most out of his players. Thanks for being a part of the podcast Brad!
The Speed Podcast Ep. 37 - John O'Neil
The only thing better than hearing John O'Neil speak in person is hearing him on this podcast. It was a pleasure to have the Director of Performance at Cressey Sports Performance on to talk about his journey and his philosophy. If you want to know more about training baseball players, this is the podcast for you.
The Speed Podcast Ep. 36 - Scott Phillips
Scott Phillips may be the first reporter on our podcast, but he spoke like a true sports performance coach when it came to breaking down how basketball players move. Scott covers HS, College, and NBA basketball for NBC Sports and thanks to an old high school connection, we were lucky enough to have him on. If basketball is your jam, then this is for you.
