Nursing Innovation In Response to COVID-19 While Working From Home

Nursing Innovation In Response to COVID-19 While Working From Home

Description #011 - In recent weeks, we have all seen how quickly our work and our world can change. As healthcare workers, we all do our part. Some on the front lines, and some at a safe distance. But each one of us has an important role to play in this COVID19 pandemic. And what our clients need now, may be different than what they needed a few short weeks ago. Seeing people think outside the box, come up with solutions, and share it with others so that more people are helped, makes my heart really happy.
Last week, I shared with you some ideas on how to work remotely while still adding value to your organization. In this episode, I would like to share with you how some nurses are doing just that. Rhea Arias and Ariel Huhn RN, MPH created an assessment tool to screen the vulnerable elderly in their ACO. They were gracious enough to share with us. This tool can be modified and used by other organizations to meet the needs of their population. Learn more about this COVID-19 Screening Tool in this episode.

Everybody has a role to play even if you are not working on the front line. I hope this episode inspires you to think outside the box. It doesn’t mean that if you’re not working on the front line, you cannot play an important role.
To those that are on the front line, I would like to express my deepest appreciation for what you’re doing, for facing the challenges head-on.

Working From Home During the COVID 19 Pandemic

Working From Home During the COVID 19 Pandemic

Description #010 - Although this was recorded during the COVID-19 Pandemic, the information provided is valuable at any time. While many nurses are working overtime in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic others are working from home, working fewer hours, or are no longer working.
Some employers let their employees work from home, while others will choose to lay off, or will restructure their workforce. I believe that if you make yourself invaluable by adding crucial value to your company, you will be one of those who is restructured.  This episode will cover a lot of tips and information on how to work remotely while still adding value to your organization.
