The Strong is She podcast invites women to come as they are, to show up unapologetically and to learn and grow together on topics we face everyday, such as health & fitness, relationships, entrepreneurship & business, mental health, financial health, pregnancy & motherhood, nutrition, time management, and more. Whatever daily struggles and challenges we all may face, the Strong is She podcast shows women that they aren’t alone and gives them the resources, tools, and belief that they need to accomplish whatever it is that is on their heart. Host Bess Carter wants women to know that they are STRONG, no matter what area of life and has always wanted to help women feel good about themselves and feel empowered to follow their dreams, whatever they may be.
How to Strategically Set Goals (for your career, fitness, or life) & Accomplish Them
I have been thinking a lot on the topic of goal setting and today’s episode is going to be about how to strategically set goals (and when I say strategic by that I mean strategic to what is important to YOU and your life and in the most direct way possible)…whether they be goals for your career, maybe your health & fitness journey, just your life in general or maybe even something else. Whatever it may be…and then how to accomplish those goals.
Removing What Doesn’t Serve You
What I’m talking about today is something that is pretty close to my heart just because I think it’s so important and really something I try to live by so I can continue to grow as person and really find where I am happiest in my life. So what is it that I’m talking about exactly? I’m talking about removing things in your life that don’t serve you, how to do it, and why doing it regularly is an important practice to implement in your life.
Building and Nurturing Self-Love
Hi friends! In today’s episode I am going to be talking about building and nurturing self love. If you listened to my last episode, episode 9 with my friend Bianca, we talked about how to build self confidence specifically for the work place and how to use that to navigate your career. In today’s show, I wanted to continue that theme of self love and self confidence because I know it’s something that most all of us struggle with, at least at times! I’m going to share ways to find, build, and nurture self love, which I believe then leads to more self esteem and self confidence. I think those two things are a by-product of loving yourself. I think this world is such a more beautiful place when we all embrace who we are and share our differences. We were all made to be different people and give our unique perspectives and influences onto the world…doing anything else is selling yourself and our world short!
Building Confidence at Work to Navigate Your Career With Bianca Mugnano
In today’s episode we are talking with Bianca Mugnano about Building Confidence at Work to Navigate Your Career. Bianca works in Finance at Bank of America and has so many great tips and takeaways for any woman looking to build her self confidence and use that to navigate or advance her career. All of Bianca’s advice is so relatable and practical, I know you’ll all find it so helpful!
Prenatal Fitness and Pregnancy Q&A
Hi friends! Today's episode of the podcast is all about Prenatal Fitness and Pregnancy Q&A using some questions that you submitted to me over Instagram. I'm sharing some of the current recommendations for prenatal fitness, why exercise during pregnancy is so beneficial if permitted by your doctor, as well as what I've been doing so far in my pregnancy.
Growing a Real Instagram Audience and Making Money with less than 10k followers, Tips for Making Friends in New Cities, and Dealing with Anxiety with Caitlin of Her Atlas
On today’s episode we are joined by Caitlin of Her Atlas, a blog and Instagram that encourages women to Explore, Sweat, & Nourish. Caitlin is currently in San Diego and shares so many great local finds from restaurants to hiking, and on top of that shares a healthy, balanced lifestyle. She won’t be in San Diego for long, though, because spoiler alert…she and her hubby are moving to Japan!! Caitlin is SO fun to follow on IG…her stories crack me up on the daily but she’s also so real and isn’t afraid to show vulnerability, which makes her all the more relatable. Also, her dance parties with her cute dog, Gus, are the best! She has an amazing passion for life and it’s so evident just by looking at her gorgeous photos but it really comes out when you watch her stories and get to know her. I just know you’ll be inspired by Caitlin’s energy and I’m excited to chat with her today about her big move abroad, making friends in new cities, how to grow an authentic audience on social media, and how to make money on Instagram even if you have a smaller following. Lastly, since its Mental Health Awareness Month, we will chat about dealing with anxiety and tips for that, whether it’s something that happens to you or someone you know! I hope you all enjoy today’s episode!!

Relatable & Empowering!
I just listened to episode 3 with Teri Hutcheon and loved it! Teri generously shared an intimate peek into her journey to success in multiple areas of her life (career, romance & running.) I felt both inspired by what a BA woman she is as well as empowered to do more with my own time & talents. Strong Is She podcast is delivering on exactly what they claim. Can’t wait to hear more!
