From Rescued to Rescuer w/Clemmie Greenlee

In this episode, Marcus talks with Clemmie Greenlee, Founder and CEO of Nashville Peacemakers/Mothers Over Murder.

Clemmie was raised in an environment where poverty and violence were commonplace, and personally suffered the horrors of human sex trafficking that resulted in years of drug addiction, homelessness, prostitution and frequent incarceration. Since being rescued from the streets by the Magdalene House of Nashville, she has been tirelessly “paying it forward”—with a long list of accomplishments that include helping to establish Eden House in New Orleans (working to end sex trafficking), preventing dozens of gang retaliatory shootings, and supporting the basic needs of the homeless, the imprisoned and those disadvantaged by birth and geography.

In addition to being honored as “Nashvillian of the Year" by the Nashville Scene and receiving a coveted Soros Justice Fellowship grant for her innovative approach to violence prevention, Greenlee has been bestowed numerous awards for her work from organizations that include Bank of America,  Philadelphia-based Mothers in Charge, the Tennessee NAACP, and Nashville-based Community A.L.E.R.T. and The Wesley Foundation Campus Ministry.

The Virtue of Art Therapy w/Rhonda Shaw :: Ep 62 Stronger Than My Father

In this episode of the Mother's Day series, Marcus talks to Rhonda Shaw (ArtbyRhonda) who owns www.themovingcanvas.com

Rhonda teaches others therapy of sorts by painting and creating art.

    From Rhonda:

"I was born and raised in Nashville, TN, where I still reside. I am a mother to a handsome young man whom I adore. I love God, my family, friends and Art. I am a self-taught artist that believes every one on this planet has an artist inside of them waiting to come out and be creative in their own way.

I have always been "art driven", sketching and drawing, designing, however, I decided to pick up a paintbrush in 2013, and the rest is history. Because I am a self taught artist, I enjoy teaching others art, as well as creating masterpieces. Whether I bless your home or office with my own art, or I assist you in creating your own masterpiece at your Sip and Paint, it is a blessing to me as well. Welcome to my world where creativity meets vision one stroke at a time!"

Marcus sits down with award-winning entrepreneur, bestselling author, mental health advocate, and social activist, Reggie D. Ford.

Despite having a traumatic upbringing with no dad in the picture, Reggie was determined to break the cycle for himself, starting with getting an MBA.

    About Regie:

As a mental health advocate, Reggie’s mission is to help people build mental resilience and lead fulfilling lives through life’s challenges. He is an old soul, a lifelong learner, a humble teacher, and a natural go-getter, bringing a unique and valued perspective to those around him. He empowers everyone he encounters as he continues to grow into his best self. His story of turning the pain and struggle of his past into peace and abundance captivates audiences and makes him the epitome of perseverance.
